Planning Proposal No.4 City Centre LEP 08 Exempt Development Provision

The Planning Proposal (PP) aims to reinsert the exempt development provision that permits the use of public land or a public road for an exhibition, meeting or community event so that it applies to the city centre. A similar exempt development provision already exists and applies to the land covered by LEP 2003.Council is of the opinion that the SEPP (Temporary Structures and Places of Public Entertainment) 2007 does not cover the use of public land or a public road for an exhibition, meeting or community event and a D/A is required.The regional team has not been approached by a lobbyist.
