The Planning Proposal seeks to:1. Remove a redundant County Road Reservation existing over privately owned and Government Agency land and to introduce appropriate replacement zones, and;2. Designate the boundaries of the proposed Wolli Creek Regional Park in this area.The proposed zones are:- Land Parcel 1: Majority to be zoned(8)National Parks and Nature Reserves, with a single Lot at 48 Hocking Avenue to be zoned 2(a) Residential.- Land Parcel 2: Zone to comprise (8) National Parks and Nature Reserves, 2(a)Residential, 5(a) Special Use (Sewerage)and 6(a) Open Space.The Proposal has been lodged in order to:- prevent inappropriate development of the land;- to divest surplus State Government land to facilitate the proposed Wolli Creek Regional Park and;- to remove uncertainty for affected land owners and the general community relating to the status of the abandoned Reservation.The ownership of Land Parcel 1 is split between NPWS and the Minister for Lands NSW(refer to City of Canterbury Ownership Map).The ownership of Land Parcel 2 is split between City of Canterbury Council, Ministry of NPWS, the Minister for National Parks, Housing NSW, Sydney Water, the Minister Administering the EP&A Act, the RTA, and 19 private owners (refer to City of Canterbury Ownership Map).Council as RPA intends for the acquisition authority to be the Office of Strategic Lands.
