Site Size: approximately 7ha

Homes:  approximately 1,300 new homes, including 15% dedicated to affordable rental housing for a minimum of 15 years. 

Proposal: Warrawong Plaza, a major retail shopping centre is operating on the site. The proposal will deliver a master planned mixed-use development, with ground floor retail, several residential towers, public open space and through site connectivity.

A Rezoning Proposal was lodged with the Department on 14 September 2023. The Department assessed the Rezoning Proposal and prepared and exhibited a Discussion Paper outlining the proposed amendments to planning controls from 21 June to 19 July 2024.

Finalisation of the proposal allows the amendment of planning controls within the Wollongong Local Environmental Plan (LEP) 2009 by increasing the maximum height of buildings from 8 up to approximately 22 storeys, to create up to 1,300 new homes.
