The proposal seeks to amend the following development controls under the Burwood Local Environmental Plan 2012, which apply to land along the southern side of Cooper Street, Strathfield (between Cooper Lane and Wentworth Road): Rezone the site from R2 Low Density Residential to R1 General Residential; Increase maximum building height from 8.2 metres to 12 metres for land fronting Cooper Street and to 21 metres for land fronting Cowdery Lane; and, Increase the maximum floor space ratio from 0.55:1 to 2.4:1.
