The proposal seeks to rezone land at South Kiama - located west of the Princes Highway between Saddleback Mountain Road and south of Weir Street - to facilitate residential development of the land.
Most of the land is currently zoned RU2 Rural Landscape, with small pockets zoned E2 Environmental Conservation and E3 Environmental Management. The proposal would rezone almost all of the site R2 Low Density Residential, while increasing the area of E2 zoned land. The E3 area remains unchanged under the proposal.
Concept plans for the majority of the site indicate that the land could provide approximately 455 lots.
