Sydney Olympic Park Master Plan 2050

Sydney Olympic Park Master Plan 2050 was on exhibition until 5pm, 29 November 2024

The Department of Planning, Housing and Infrastructure issued Study Requirements to the Sydney Olympic Park Authority (SOPA) and worked with SOPA to review Master Plan 2050 and proposed amendments to State Environmental Planning Policy (Precincts – Central River City) 2021 (Central River City Precincts SEPP). To achieve the proposed vision for Sydney Olympic Park, the Central River City Precincts SEPP requires amendment.

Master Plan 2050 proposes to deliver a total of up to 13,000 homes, 32,000 jobs, 5 to 10 percent affordable housing, new hotel accommodation, more space for education and health, new community sports and leisure centres, a new library and community hub, a new cultural centre, 2 new school education sites, 7 new public spaces, 4 new sports fields and over 10 playgrounds.

The proposal included Master Plan 2050, a draft Explanation of Intended Effect (EIE) explaining proposed amendments to planning controls, and supporting technical studies.

Your feedback on this draft proposal is important and will help shape the future of Sydney Olympic Park.

Sydney Olympic Park Authority will now consider the feedback and make any necessary amendments to the draft Master Plan and rezoning proposal.
