I support the Evolution Cowal Gold Operation (ECGO), Modification 14,
Processing Rate Increase from 7.5 Mtpa to 9.8 Mtpa, as outlined in the
proposal
http://majorprojects.planning.nsw.gov.au/index.pl?action=view_job&job_id=8946.

As a person interested in the economic and social development of the
area, the ECGO Processing Rate Increase Modification 14 economic
modelling estimates a net production benefit to NSW of $27 million and
to Australia of $62 million.

The ECGO is a residential mine which is located in the Bland Shire
approximately 38 kilometres north-east of West Wyalong in New South
Wales (NSW).

I would like to mention that there is a disproportionate amount of
assistance being handed out to the Forbes and Lachlan Shires and very
little to the Bland Shire yet the ECGO is located in the Bland Shire.
One example of this is Evolution Cowal Mine commits three years of
funding to Somewhere Down the Lachlan Arts-based tourism in Forbes has
been promised an almost $450,000 boost over the next three years with
Evolution Cowal Gold Mine backing Grazing Down the Lachlan and the
sculpture trail. The ECGOs needs to do more for the Bland Shire.
