I object to the project: I am the landowner of "Merrendee Station" a mixed farming enterprise. The whole proposal has been extremely distressing for us landholders there has been misguided information and lack of consultation. Our main issues relate to lack of consultation, ownership, control and overall project risk, the justification for development - fails as a truly "sustainable" development across financial, social, and ecological measures, lack of evaluation of alternate renewable sources such as solar, massive impact on our visual amenity, constant noise and vibration impact - both audible, infrasound, changes to the landscape and land use. The proposed turbines on the tops of the surrounding ridgelines will be prominent, obvious, and impossible to ignore. The impact of the proposed turbines will have on our native wildlife, untimely will be detrimental to their survival and the ongoing impact will then have on our native wildlife. The visual impact, turbine noise, sun flicker and increase risk of bushfires will decline the value of properties in this area. Bushfires have been a seasonal threat for as long as I remember. The fact that Burrendong Wind Farm is allowed to be placed in communities where it affects the potential bushfire aerial support and increases possible loss of lives is unacceptable. As part of the wind farm development they are proposing to upgrade Burrendong Dam Road to facilitate access to the wind farm site. There has been very been little information on how these road encroachments will affect our driveways, fencing, cattle grids, value of property, destruction of flora. We strongly encourage that the positioning of this windfarm be reconsidered. We would like to also point out the consultation process that Ark Energy has shown landowners that have no proposed wind turbines on their properties has been a disgrace. Limited attempts have been made to discuss those in the community has been less than forthcoming. Ark Energy consultant should be ashamed of how they have handled such a life changing matter to the community and the mental stress this has caused.

I, Paul Tannous can confirm that i am totally opposed to the windfarm project.
Along with my family and extended family who often reside with us on our property.
I am all for renewables and for favorable environmentally power options but not at the sake of us , my neighbors, local community and the local pristine landscape and environment.
I understand that the proposed turbines will be built near the current dam power lines and grid feed, but this does not mean it is an appropriate option.
We object on the basis of the following:
1- The visual effects from our property,
2- Th noise from the turbines will cause significant effects.
3- The decrease in property value from the project if consented will be huge and significant, and can already be felt during the current planning.
4- The pristine landscape will be lost for ever along with the Koala, eagle and other native animals and habitat to make way for the project.
5- The company that has been nominated is an off shore company with focus purely on profits and not on the local community or environment.
6- Our property has been in our family for 50 ,years and will never be the secluded off grid haven ever again
7- The turbines, are not renewable themselves and are not safe from the potential leaching of their composition into the nearby waterways and environment.

There are plenty of other reasons but the above are main reasons.
I understand we all need to strive for Net 0 carbon emissions, but this project is not a viable option and another less intrusive, destructive and disruptive option should be persued.
You can not replace one environmental problem with a potentially more destructive one.

I strongly object to the burrandong wind farm project.
I have grown up at 167 Rockford lane yarrabin.
Over the past 40 years this has been our family home and it will be left for the generations to come.
This property has been used for the serenity, being off grid with no phone service, water or power services to the house and the house has been built so there are no Nabour’s that can be seen from most of the property. This was the purpose of this house being built and the infrastructure being put in place for it.
If these wind turbines are put on the worlds end ridge line it will destroy the whole purpose of this property and house.
We have been involved in this community for 40 years and all this is doing is putting stress and stain on the community.
There has been thousands of hours put into trying to get heard by our council and government by our local community.
And it feels like no one has listened to the people that has and will be affected.
By these wind farms going in it will destroy our community!!!! Our water!!!! Our serenity!!!! Our wildlife!!!!! Our health!!!!
All for what? A multi national company to make profit off us that gets sent over seas.
This will destroy families and communities

I strongly object to this project - The Burrendong Wind Farm.
My family and many close families will be impacted by this horrendous project. Young children, waterways, houses, environments, native wildlife! Not to mention the sound, the eyesore visions from our families beautiful and peaceful property in Mudgee. Our amazing uninterrupted views of the worlds end ridge line will be destroyed.
We bring our friends to visit and enjoy this peaceful property. We are run on solar and water tanks, No telephone or internet reception and we want to keep it that way! We come here to enjoy the peace and purity. These wind turbines will destroy this.

We do not want the BPA falling off after the 5 yr warranty into our waterways and our water tanks.
We do not want our bush land bulldozed to house these monsters and then house them for eternity once they break or die.
We do not want them towering over us as we relax.
We do not want them ruining the flight paths of so many of our native birds - black cockatoos, wedge tail eagles, white cockatoos
We do not want them taking down our koala habitats.
We do not consent to ARK energy taking away our serenity.

I object to this project on the strongest terms. The size of these wind turbines are are three times larger in capacity than many of the other wind farms around NSW that have causes significant noise nuisance to residents around wind farms. Also their impact on wildlife and farm animals remains untested - there is simply no research that suggests that these monstrosities are compatible with animal life or healthy ecosystems.s

I STRONGLY OBJECT ...
especially to=
Wind Turbine 53, is being built CLOSER than the Required 4 ks to our Home....
along the Worlds End Ridgeline....
You must know all the Tricks ARK Energy has already been up to ( Sth Korean Mining Company!)
Profits $$$ heading overseas !
WE will ALL be paying for ROADS to be widened and repaired !!!
HOW MANY NATIVE TREES will be Chopped down along the roads???

BPA covered Turbine Blades ---
BISPHENOL A is a --- HIGHLY TOXIC COMPOUND used in Epoxy Resins of Turbine Blades....
It has been linked to about 80 Diseases including Cancer! ( World Health Organisation )

The Leading Edges of Turbine Blades SHED - FINE DUST --- and
Blade Edges have only a 5 Year Guarantee... !!!!!! ARK will NOT REPAIR anything!!!

OUR DRINKING WATER TANKS === Will be collecting this Deadly DPA Dust ! TOXIC !

THE MEROO RIVER --- Just UNDER the WORLDS END Ridgeline will be collecting the DPA Dust .... taking it down to the BURRENDONG DAM = RENDERING THE WATER = TOXIC
THIS - ------ TOXIC water will be used in OUR FARMS !!!
Killing Australians...!!!

Isn't that considered a CRIMINAL OFFENCE ????????

Over 40 years of Maintaining our wonderful LIFE STYLE property ...by our Huge Family and Friends.
VALUE of our property will Plummet ....
Interesting - In Denmark banks WON'T lend money to people buying near the TURBINES !!!

Wonderful clear Skies ... birds, animals, insects --- all to be attacked...
Infra noise ...= health down the drain! Flashing Lights !

MUDGEE --- Farmers, Families, Friends - all being Divided.

Farmers now at last learning THEY THEMSELVES will OWN the Turbines...$ 750 000 to dismantle ONE !

TURBINES === CAN'T be RECYCLED !!!

Face to Face meetings with ARK ENERGY, - ANDREW WILSON ... doesn't know anything about how we must maintain the area!
When the Notifiable Weed, Serrated Tussock was mentioned, he had NO idea what we were talking about. So now it will be moving further around NSW === for us= more work to keep digging it up
and for many others=== just MORE POISON !!!
PLEASE HELP ....

I object to this unnecessary, unreliable, non base load power source that is expensive and pays scant attention to damaged fauna habitat. I urge the Government to go nuclear hitched up to the existing grid. We will eventually go nuclear so why not now?

I have been visiting my friends property in Rockford Lane Yarrabin for almost 40yrs. There property adjoins the proposed Burrendong Windfarm.
The beauty of this area is there is no industry, no internet, phone, giving peace & Quiet & lovely views of Worlds End Ridgeline. There is abundant wildlife & I fear for the flocks of redtail cockatoos that inhabit the area and the wedgetail eagles that will either loose their habitat or their lives. This proposal has divided a normally close knit community as fear of a decrease in property values due to the visual impact the wind farm will not to mention noise pollution.
What becomes of the turbines at the end of life, left to disintegrate and contaminate waterways & eventually Mudgee catchment area.
We cannot continue to implement quick fix methods that will need to be addressed by future generations. Dianne Norris

It’s continually disappointing that the government can’t be trusted to make decisions in the best interests of the people they are meant to be serving. The environmental destruction of our country to establish a wind farm has been proven to be the wrong decision.
The government won’t listen to the real facts. They are only interested in the facts that support their self interest, driven by a corporate narrative to increase corporate profits and greed. You have lost community trust and you are not fit to make decisions for the state.
It’s exhausting that the people you serve have to do the work for you at our costs. I won’t bore you with the facts because you have proven through my personal experience that you really don’t care.
The breakdown in human and environmental health has become an acceptable price for the government’s push for increased revenue and self interest.
You have lost my vote

I strongly object to these wind turbines which are ugly, toxic and unreliable. The clearing of land is detrimental to our native species such as wedge tail Eagles, koalas, black cockatoos and so many more.
"Wind Turbine Blades leave a toxic waste legacy for centuries to come, but there is an even more immediate threat - their blades naturally erode during operation - spreading tonnes of microplastics far & wide.
The epoxy compounds they shed contain toxins that are finding their way into our oceans & drinking water.

To whom this may concern, I would like to raise the issue of wind turbines on the Worlds End ridge line and the impacts on the natural habitation for the local wedge tailed eagle population. As a regular visitor to the the area, specifically the valley below the ridge line and myself being a former Australian Hang Gliding representative and of member of the Australian Gliding Federation, I have a special interest and close familiarization with native soaring birds and there natural habitat. The Worlds End Ridgeline is both home territory and idyllic habitat for many family of Wedgetail eagle's, species of Hawk, Peregrine Falcon Black and Sulphur Crested and endangered Black Cockatoo, amongst many other native birdlife that will be impacted by the installation of wind turbines. This wind turbine submission cannot proceeded without damaging the natural habitats of vast many species and native fauna and birds that inhabit this location, therefor I strongly object and would urge the project to be vetoed forthwith and or relocated. Wind industrial estates produce electricity intermittently, about 30% of the time and we will still need other forms of power as a back-up. Germany imports electricity from France when their renewable energy is deficient. Germany also exports energy when they have excess which is the fluctuation nature of renewable supply. Renewable energy supplies do not provide us with base power,
Wind industrial estates need large areas of cleared ground just to manipulate the blades into position, they also need extensive road works, a concrete manufacturing plant and huge towers to transport power back to the grid. We appear to be destroying the environment for projects that will not solve our electricity problems.

In addition, the noise from wind turbines can be heard, inside a house 3.5 km away from the wind tower according to research by Nicole Hashman 2019. Animals and birds use sound just as much as we do to communicate with each other. They also need to sleep and how can anything sleep while being bombarded by noise? The noise effect of the wind turbines increases the area of environmental impact affected by the wind industrial estate. The turbines are 600 metres apart (minimum) and have an effective radius of noise of 3.5 km each side, totalling 7 km x 600 metres=420 ha for every turbine. How can we even consider that this is an acceptable loss of habitat in an already critically damaged environment?

Wind turbines kill both birds and bats, are we going to continue to decimate our already declining numbers of birds?

Wind industrial estates only last 25 years and then we need get rid of the blades which are not recyclable. Do we have any plans for the decommissioning the existing wind farms? If we set up a mine we need to pay for the remediation why don't we have some protection for the environment for wind and solar farms?

I oppose this project because it is very unlikely that the decommissioning, removal and land rehabilitation will occur due to the exorbitant cost that will be involved. The cost in 20 years or so time will likely exceed today's cost to build the project. Unlike mining companies there is no requirement for this developer to lodge a bond to cover this future cost. Who will ultimately pay? The new owner of the plant, the host landholders, the local ratepayers or the State and/or Federal governments. The project must not be approved unless such a bond is in place.

Despite decades of rolling out wind and solar plants in many countries the CO2 emissions still rise every year. Wind and solar projects, including this proposed stand alone BESS project, just make no difference. This BESS will increase atmospheric CO2 and increase our NEM electricity system costs to me and other end consumers. I object to any project that costs me heaps for no benefit at all. Don't approve this useless project!

My objection to this project is based on the waste of the Australian's electricity consumers and taxpayers money on what is after all an old previously abandoned technology. No subsidies should be required as the industry is decades old and well advanced in other countries. It is not a start up industry as over 35% of the NEM capacity is already made up of industrial wind and solar plants and rooftop solar.

This project just adds more damage to our already poorly maintained regional and local roads. Who pays for the wear and tear all these high numbers of extra heavy vehicles that will travel over hundreds of kilometres of our roads. Not the overseas owners of these projects. Ultimately the ratepayers and general public will pay. I therefore oppose this project.
