At present it takes me about 30 mins to 50 minutes to drive 10kms from Moorebank to Georges Hall via Nuwarra and Newbridge rds.
In order to avoid the daily morning peak hour(S) traffic bank up on the M5, trucks and cars exit on to Nuwarra rd, creating very long delays along Nuwarra rd / Newbridge rd. The new lanes added to the M5 have not relieved this congestion. The noise levels in these areas has increased as well as the pollution levels.
Putting more truck movements onto these roads will only make travelling times worse. This will be detrimental to the health and amenity of residents in the moorebank area. This is contrary to good planning practices for residential areas.

I am building my first home at Georges Fair Estate on Maddecks Ave, Moorebank and am looking at the plans and the fact that this new family suburb will be bombarded by trucks constantly is an issue I don't think we should have to put up with.
Badgerys Creek is thd best position for the intermodal and I want to be able to live in my new home and not face to worry about the extra traffic, omissions and freight that will destroy the area. We should build up moorebank and liverpool and turn it into the great suburb it will be.

Please reconsider the location of the Intermodal Terminal to a more suitable place, such as Bedgerys Creek. I won't list out the benefits that Badgerys Creek will offer over Moorebank because you already have this information.

My request goes more along the lines of: please let us live the quality of life that we are entitled to. By bulding this terminal in Moorebank you are compromising on our lifestyle, our environment, and our quality of life.

Fais go for the (South)West!

There is way too much heavy traffic in the area already. the current roads will not be able to handle the increased volume of truck movements.

The intermodal needs to be moved to badgerys creek as it will be to close to homes at moorebank. My children suffer for asthma and the pollution will make their condition worse. The government has thought about the people of the community only their plan to make more money. This needs to stop before people suffer from poor air quality, increased noise population and increased traffic in an area that is already over used.

I oppose the Moorebank Intermodal proposal and Environmental Impact Statement for the following reasons. The Moorebank Intermodal will not be an economically viable investment for the Federal Government and the State of NSW. This proposal should relocate to Badgerys Creek in order to reduce supply chain costs and cater for future urban growth.

The Moorebank Intermodal will place more traffic on the already congested roads network. It will bring 10,000 heavy vehicles per day with their poisoness omissions to our area. Our local roads will have to try to cope with an extra 5,000 cars needing access to the Intermodal each day. We already have traffic jams from 7.30am until 8.45 am daily as it is.
This proposal will move the congestion from Port Botany to Moorebank, which is already extremely congested.
The modelling does not cater for the predicted growth of the region.
We will expect to have more accidents with trucks weaving onto and off the M5 between Moorebank and the Hume Highway. This will present a huge danger to our family and the people of our area. Not to mention the noise along the rail corridor and River corridor. this noise will carry directly into our homes both day and night. There will be no way to mitigate the noise from the breaking and shunting of the trains which will happen on site 24 hours a day.
There will be wheel squeal which will disturb our family's sleep.
Residents up to 3km from Port Botany are kept awake at night, we are only 400 metres away from this Intermodal and we do not want this for our family.
We will have to contend with increased diesel fumes in the community, generated by the heavy vehicles, locomotives and other heavy equipment used on site. These fumes are CARCINOGENIC.
We do not need the health problems which will arise from this Intermodal being so close to our homes.
South West Sydney is already heavile polluted due to the topography of the area. We are in a basin and the fumes cannot escape.
This site is surrounded by residential development with many young families living here. It is full of quiet leafy suburbs with strong community feelings.
We purchased our home here 18 years ago so we could retire and live in a peaceful and quiet area.
I support strategic planning and good land use. This Intermodal should be moved to a non-residential area like Badgerys Creek where the Federal Governmant is putting infrastructure in for the airport. This infrastructure will easily take the extra trucks, cars and heavy vehicles needed for an Intermodal and this is where it should be places. Not in an area so close to pre schools, schools, senior citizens homes and people going about their normal activities each day.
Please reject this proposal on the grounds that it is not in the public interest and move it to where it will be better places. Badgerys Creek.

I am seriously concerned about the health and well being of myself and other residents surrounding the proposed intermodal site. It also doesn't make a whole lot of sense to widen the already congested M5 by only 1 lane, then fill it back up with over a million trucks every year.
The development of the Moorebank intermodal would prove just how little long term thought and planning goes into NSW infrastructure. The Sydney basin is very quickly becoming a band-aid fixed city, and further mistakes like the Moorebank intermodal will see those band-aids come undone very quickly.

I wish to lodge my strong objection to any Intermodals being situated in Moorebank, it is far too close to condensed housing and will have a severe impact on the health of people in the Region. A far better, and more suitable location would be Badgery's Creek where the new International Airport will be built. It is away from the population and would have suitable land and required infrastructure available. It really does make more sense.

I strongly object to the proposed Moorebank Intermodal Terminal since it will negatively affect our lifestyle and our environment at Casula and neighbouring suburbs in Liverpool in many ways such as increased road congestion and more pollution (air, noise, light level). This massive transport and logistics facility is too close to high density residential area including our home. It will also most likely negatively affect the valuation of homes in this area since it will become a less desirable place to what it is now if the intermodal facility will be built at Moorebank.

There are other places in Sydney such as near the proposed Badgery's Creek Airport which is more suitable for this intermodal terminal and it will have lesser impact on residential area since it is less densely populated. Being close to the new airport provides synergy to the primary functions of the intermodal terminal so it is more logical to establish it near Badgery's Creek Airport.

I agree with Mayor Ned Mannoun and Liverpool City Council that the best location for the Intermodal is at Badgery's Creek. I have lived in nearby Wattle Grove area for more than 10 years and I would like to see the vacant military land on Moorebank Avenue used for building another new housing community like the Wattle Grove. Long ago there were plans to release that land for housing purposes and expand Wattle Grove. That location will be a hotcake for housing subdivision and perhaps council could build a marina there similar to what is planned at the Georges Fair estate. We don't want noisy trucks and freight trains in our area. Please move the intermodal to Bardery's Creek where there is no housing community and link it with the new airport and the new train line from Leppington.

Dear Sir/Madam

I and my Family oppose the Moorebank Intermodal due to the well documented negative impacts to the area.

The personal impact is expected to be significant and will impact my children's schooling (add risks/delays for them travelling to and from school), health(due to mass movement of trucks, products or chemicals at the site) and more.

Please take this as strong opposition to the Intermodal being at Moorebank and conversely strong support for the Intermodal being at Badgery's Creek.

Badgery's Creek and the associated massive spending on infrastructure (associated with the airport and other developments) in that area clearly presents an opportunity to better position and service the Intermodal in Badgery's Creek area.

A Moorebank intermodal is totally wrong for this area. We have loads of schools in the area, we are a low basin with high numbers of asthma sufferers already, the Liverpool hospital is one of Sydney's leading training hospitals and with the additional traffic on the roads I feel the delay for ambulances will be increased substantially, the local streets cannot handle the extra traffic it will receive and the M5 is already the slowest busiest motorway in Sydney. Nothing makes sense as to why you would put an intermodal in Moorebank and not Badgery's Creek?? Think smarter government and build a purpose built intermodal with the surrounding infrastructure to suit, rather than trying to make it fit in a very busy residential area!!!

The legacy of the current Coalition NSW state government will be trucks banked up for kilometers along the M5 from Moorebank to Campbelltown if this proposal for an intermodal is approved.

I am sure that is not how you want voters to remember the Coalition when it comes time to vote.

The intermodal at Moorebank will only bring more traffic and pain to the residents of Moorebank and surrounding areas of which we have too much already. I strongly object to it and believe it should be built at the more appropriate location of Bagderys Creek.

Strongly object to the Moorebank Intermodel. This area is already heavy with traffic and will only add to higly congested roads where new developments cannot cater for additional traffic flow not to mention additional pollution and noise.
