I'm supportive of the project pending appropriate planning and consideration of residents during the building phase.

Recent major projects in the area have resulted in Elizabeth St between Cleveland and Cooper st being used as an unofficial heavy vehicle idle zone in front of residential buildings.
Please ensure signage and workplace agreements prevent the use of this road area for crane and heavy trucks to idle before they can arrive on site.
Ensure work vehicles do not displace residential parking permit zones.

Message
Redfern already has a higher proportion of affordable housing than most other suburbs in this council area, in fact, in the state. The adjoining park and woolworths store across the road are flooded with lower socio-economic groups which results in a higher level of social disruption, theft, mental health complications and crime. As a resident, I strongly disagree with this area being used for more affordable housing as the suburb already has too much.
