This development is an easy win to help the housing supply crisis and should absolutely be approved as soon as possible. My only wish is it was even larger - at only 6 stories and 63 apartments, it could do more to help the housing supply crisis. Nevertheless, every project is important and every apartment delivered is another home for more people. The provision of 49 affordable housing units is especially exciting.

Totally unviable, it will create a lot of congestion and it is not sustainable. It will be hazardous for the people living in 100 kms radius. It is harmful for the environment and create mental stress for the neibouring residents.

I object with the project , as it will effect in living and daily life of me, my family and my community. This will effect in safety and security, busy road due to traffic overload from residents from apartments, it will also increase in use of infrastructure in our community which I think is limited.

Point for complaint
1. Change from original Landcom plan.
2. Lack of parking in new buildings basement will lead to street parking as the apartment is for 63 apartments and basement parking is only for 31.
3. Affordable rentals will drive down our apartment value and we are all mostly first home buyers.

Reasons below:
•strongly consider bollards for the parking inside as designated Visitor spots in our complex will be use illegally.
•Over crowding in the area – I don’t have to specifically list this up, as we are all struggling with this, even now.
•Parking challenges – 63 apartments – 31 car parking spaces – Ok that ratio doesn’t make sense. There will be an overflow, and this will impact the streets we are in. You will have no control over who parks even within the complex.
•We don’t have the infrastructure to handle this extra crowd. – parks, sewers, walking space. Imagine all the illegal dumping we can expect.
•Safety aspects for residents - We have a lot of young families with children around. We dont want to take the risk when it comes to safety.
•Not to mention, 6 storey apartment is an eye sore
•Having a 6-storey apartment, classified as affordable housing, will definitely impact our property values (which as of such is lower than the average Schofields property value)

Over crowding the area- the area is already busy now with less space around the building. It already feels congested and it will be more congested.
Parking challenges- 63 apartments and only 31 parking space. Each household usually have 2-3 cars. Where will other cars be parked?
Excessive traffic - it now takes more than 15 mins from grima street to Hamilton roundabout on office time. It will get worst with 63 more apartments.
Safety aspect- every now and then there are teenagers going through everyone’s property and stealing things. This will only get worst.
No proper infrastructure like park, walking space- the small glory park is over crowded now and this will also be worst.
Health issues- this on going slow construction has caused a lot of dust for so long in our houses. Cleaning each day in this busy schedule is also not helping. The dust from the construction site is everywhere which has caused sinus and throat issues for so many people around the construction site.

This development will cause traffic chaos in already densely populated section on Schofields. Also parking will become major issue in the area as ratio of parking is less.Infrastructure like wide roads, parks and walking paths are lacking which will be detrimental to kids and adults health already living in the area aswell as new residents.Lack of recreational facilities in the area will further affect new residents and kids in the long run.So big high rise buildings should not be built. Also affordable housing might have negative impact on property values for residents already living in the area. Also such big high rises block view to mountains for certain houses which also impacts their health.Cramming more people in small spaces has proven to have negative impact on people lives.Private businesses/builders build apartments for profit making and as a government agency which has access to unlimited land they should build spacious houses in greenfield locations for affordable housing. That will ensure people get good quality life and ensure their safety aswell.Being a tax payer I expect government to do better not only to provide me better and healthy environment but to the entire community,

Concerned about exacerbating the issue of overcrowding already present in the area and the already lack of infrastructure to support additional residents, I.e parks, sewers, walking space etc. I believe this will not only reduce our quality of life but also cause safety concerns.

Hello,
Just wanted to raise my concerns about the development currently happening in 108 Burdekin Road.
Currently, the proposal states that the development is for a six-storey residential flat building including in-fill affordable housing. The Proposal includes.
1. 63 residential apartments, including 49 marked under affordable housing.
2. 31 car parking spaces
The letter states that we as residents nearest to the development can have a say about the project.

Currently this specific area and street is too overcrowded with houses, apartments and people with few infrastructures.
There have been a lot of parking issues presently and building more flats and houses will escalate the current problem.
Government should think about building more infrastructures such as parks where children and families can play and relax.
There is hardly any relaxation in this area. This is one of the reasons why many people moved to this area.
Due to overcrowded of these areas, sometimes you see children playing in the car park because there are no playgrounds to play. Even for adults, they struggle to find parks to socialise.
Safety and security are another major concern, when you have too many people in certain areas or streets you invite crimes, illegal activities etc. There have been safety and security concerns due to overcrowding of this area. The issues will increase by planning to have further development of more houses in this area. Government can look for other areas where there are more land to build more houses but not I the already crowded environment.
We are pleading that this development should be converted into playground and better infrastructure for the community rather than overcrowding the already crowded community.
Thank you in anticipation for considering this objection.

We don’t have the enough infrastructure for that project, the area is already very crowded, the streets are not wide enough, nothing from the beginning planned to contain all of this crowd. Also, affordable housing apartments will attract singles and as a family oriented community we had so many negative experiences with those who do not care about the children, the noise, the fast driving and more.
Thanks
Thanks

This development will overcrowd an area which is already overpopulated plus a serious security concern for the families due to affordable housing scheme. This area has been a very safe area & seems like the current NSW government is attempting try to their luck in challenging the safety of the families living here. The car parking spaces available for this project will cause a massive challenge to the current community plus being the new ones being affordable housing, the government is creating a massive risk to the safety of the community.

How dare you firstly- to not sent us letter for this, as it is directly visible from my house (on close proximity).
When we purchased the house, back in 2018. Landcom told us it was a townhouse development site hence low populated area.
Now, everywhere is apartment- I can't get out of the road, as Landcom have make Grima street one way (lied again-saying it was only for 5-4 weeks). if anyone from your stupid department can come now and drive in Grima street will see why I object to that. People Park everywhere, two cars can't pass each other out. People can't drive in that street. Besides that, overpopulation will lead this area into a third world slum. and finally, theft in this area is astonishing high after completion of other units, people are fearful to leave their houses now. You need to open a police station in that empty land not apartments. thank you - hope you have some brain left.
