BESS sites are increasingly uninsurable due to their fire, explosion, and chemical hazards.
Who bears the liability - the gullible, pariah Host?

What if the BESS Fire also inevitably, irreversibly contaminates neighbouring land and water - is the gullible pariah Host liable for that too or is it the Deniliquin Council or both?

This facility will devalue surrounding properties and make insurance unaffordable with adequate Public Liability insurance for neighbour victims unattainable.

Does the Dodgy, Parasitic, Shell Company Developer even have insurance to cover impacts to neighbours caused by their industrialised, toxic Fire hazardous BESS?

NO POWER WILL EVER BE GENERATED BY THIS PLAN!
This BESS will never produce electricity — it merely stores it. There is zero benefit to farmers or the grid.
This is a land-grab scam, not an energy project.

I would like to begin by acknowledging the farmers of the land within our great nation of Australia today. I pay my respects to Australia’s past, present and future farmers who have and will continue to battle setbacks such as renewable energy destruction, drought, floods, vermin plagues, diseases, and government policy, all so they can provide Australia with food and fibre. I acknowledge that these setbacks come at a high price of mental health, and many have taken their lives as a result due to such pressures. I extend this respect and am thankful for the sacrifices those within the agricultural industry make in order to provide Australia with the essentials; I acknowledge the agricultural industry as the backbone of our nation
We need to unite and fight these developers and the Australian government for forcing this upon us.

I object to this project. Aside from absolute agricultural and environmental destruction, local farmers face contamination and losing critical water supply adjacent to the vital irrigation channels in the Riverina (the Muulamein Channel and the Mulwala Canal), should this project go ahead.

Air-borne toxins are released from life-threatening BESS FIRES.
Fires at BESS sites release clouds of toxic metals and deadly vapours, such as nickel, cobalt, manganese, and hydrogen fluoride - with inhalation of these toxins potentially fatal with long-term respiratory impacts.

Deniliquin BESS is a DEADLY FIRE & EXPLOSION HAZARD!
Grid-scale Lithium-ion BESS facilities pose a major thermal runaway explosion risk — a threat well beyond local emergency services’ capacity, as confirmed by NSW Fire & Rescue and global case studies e.g., Moss Landing ->

“There is a general lack of guidance and provisions in building codes, standards, and legislation in relation to safety to address the potential risks from these emerging technologies. Part of the problem is that we do not yet know enough about their probability of failure, their mechanisms of failure and potential consequences of failure.”

BESS factories are destroying the landscapes and significantly devaluing residential, agricultural and commercial properties within rural communities. Nobody would want to live anywhere near this heap of fire-causing garbage.
Nuclear MUST be explored. I OBJECT to the BESS and ALL renewable projects that are proposed for Australia

BESS is dangerous and brings hazards to the project and community.
The noises from this BESS project will have negative impacts on the nearby livestock and wildlife. These impacts will be evident in not only everyday life for the animals, but also during breeding and birthing cycles. BESS carries significant fire risk.

Besides all the seriously hazardous chemical residue and life-threatening smoke from Thermal Runaway FIRES, BESS disasters have been proven to leach and release forever chemicals (PFAS) — known to accumulate in soil, livestock, food, and humans. These chemicals do not break down and are now banned in Australia from 1 July 2025.

Many Locals are unaware of this project. To not do due diligence in community consultation, not the minimal organisational consulting that has occurred, so that they are aware of the toxicity that can seep into the irrigation channel system and the great fire risk BESS' hold, let alone the impact on the social and environment factor to the community. It is not about the $$$$. The local residents and the fauna and flora have to live with it everyday, huge toll on their future.

This battery energy storage system is of a major fire risk and will put significant strain on local and rural firefighting services. These local firefighting services are not equipped with the resources or man-power to manage emergency fires for when they do break out at this site. Why should the community risk their lives and step up to fight fires for infrastructure that they never wanted there in the first place?

The Deniliquin East BESS is proposed right by the Moulomin Irragation Channel and Mulwala Irrigation Canal and will more than likely overtime leach PFAS 'forever chemicals' and heavy metals directly into those systems. Once in the irragation systems they will be dispersed into the food chain, finishing up on our dinner tables. Please see attached for more details.

Why is this Government deliberately poisoning rural land, water and communities with TOXIC BESS DISASTERS - wilfully exposing farming communities to Group 1 and 2B carcinogens (PFOA and PFOS) as listed by the World Health Organization?!
Approval of this plan and all others like it is a public health betrayal!

I object to the Deniliquin East BESS project.
Why is our government forcing FIRE HAZARDOUS infrastructure and UNRELIABLE energy on our nation at the expense of rural Australia?!?
Save the land that supports and produces food and fibre for Australia. Put these elsewhere! Stop bowing down to the EVIL powers of the WEF.
These projects are destroying rural Australia and will send future generations broke!!

I object to this land and water contaminating disaster!
This BESS site is recklessly located adjacent to vital irrigation water systems — the Mulwala Canal and Moulamein Channel, risking catastrophic PFAS and toxic metal contamination of drinking and farming water, violating both NHMRC Drinking Water Guidelines and basic environmental duty of care.

I object because BESS projects are too damaging to the communities, landscapes, environment and animals. what happens when they catch fire? How will the noise from BESS impact livestock and native wildlife? Not only are they dangerous, they are an absolute eye-sore. Let's put these closer to the cities so all the NIMBYs can marvel at what their vote has given them. Leave our landscapes alone and our government needs to do better.
Noting the Livestock Producer Assurance accreditation application, they recognise and acknowledge that agricultural land WILL BE POISONED by batteries and solar panels. Given this significant fact, these projects should NOT go ahead as they compromise our food security and environmental safety.
