My family are part of the workforce at North open cut mine. They employ 1600 locals and the mine and these employees inturn utilise the surrounding businesses and suppliers.
The mine has respectfully followed the government's guidelines. And respected the local communities needs.

I believe HVO provides a large amount of benefits to the broader community and the closure of the site would impact the region drastically.

The emission reductions in their revised plan show a particularly responsible approach to the future of the mine.

HVO supports thousands of jobs in the hunter valley area while also providing a raft of economic benefits for the state.

With the next 5 years bringing the closure of atleast 2 other mines in the area I believe it’s extremely important to provide opportunity for ongoing employment and economic benefits for the hunter region.

I would like to support this project due to the maintained jobs it supports for this area. The footprint is mainly already mined land with deeper seams being mined. It makes sense to continue the operation with already affected land.
The need of electricity continues with infrastructure to renewable option not going to be ready in time. The Australians emissions is nothing to what the world produces and it's about time the government started looking after the future of their people rather then the radical minority.

Sincerely
Paul Murray.

The warning, which binds all/everyone, by the best, in climate, which Donald Trump, is attempting to silence, like the Roman Church, silencing Galileo, in the 1600s, who pointed out the orbital conduct, of heavenly bodies, jettisoning the Church's (orthodoxy), baseless centre of the universe view of Earth, orbiting, the bedrock, of today's communication system , so, any scope for any unrestricted emissions has long passed, setting the point, also long passed, when there can be any expansion of fossil, the warning, of the dire risk, of resetting the biosphere, for the ejection of people and vast numbers of members of the biosphere. Any dissenting to this warning, is a red herring, given the status of and number, who are making the warning, and the risk being run. So called adaptation to "climate change", itself a misleading term, is, upon the warning, at best, palliative care. The very recent three yearly NSW state of the environment report rates the health and strength of the environment at 29 per cent of 1788 - from pole to pole Earth is an environmental basket case - wait for it - despite the universe of protective law, here and worldwide, with all its - wait for it - "stringent conditions", starting in the 1960s. I would swim daily at a south facing urban beach, daily, 2000-2015, and when a southerly blew, well "cesspit" and "cesspool" are accurate, to the nth degree. Time to finally get real, despite the hell we are now in, of our own relentless not doing.

This continuation project will ensure employment both directly and indirectly for thousands of people around the region. The company makes considerable donations to many organisations and funds many projects at local school and non for profit organisations. Without coal mines the hunter community would not survive

Sir/Madam,

I’m a farmer. My family objects to the expansion of any fossil energy mine anywhere in the world, as it will take away the future of our and your grandchildren.
Global warming and human made climate change, is a fact only people with ulterior motives (like getting rich) dispute.
Feeding 8 billion+ people in a more extrem climate, is not possible on a planet with finite resources for any length of time, without destroying the habitat of most living things.

Please think about it.
