Kingswood Battery Energy Storage System

Kingswood BESS is part of the most obscene, non-sensical, ruinable plans for Australia, destroying our precious biodiversity & ecology, contaminating our essential soil & water supplies & seriously harming Australian people & our children’s future forever with unhealthy, toxic junk & energy deprivation.

I OBJECT to the horrible Kingswood BESS right next door to Calala suburb - as it’s such a toxic & destructive Fire danger for people, would only last a short-time, only work part-time & would create a massive pile of toxic waste that is ruining Australia.

These BESS structure are too prone to fire and a danger to the nearby community, and environment.

I object. These are no good for the environment or people who live nearby. BESS (worldwide) has proven to be a major fire hazard.

I object to this dangerous Kingswood BESS which will not store enough energy to supply ordinary Australians.
Wind, Solar & BESS have not been proven to ever deliver continuous supply - 30% average efficiency is hopeless & a complete waste of our money.

I am very unhappy that there is no opportunity for open debate on this terrible ruinable venture that will change the life of all Australians.

Kingswood BESS is a dreadful plan - designed to create toxic fires, deprive Australian people of power, cost us a motzer & never be cleaned up.

Stop these useless and destructive forms of intermittent and unreliable forms of energy. BESS will carry with it significant fire danger risks to the communities in Calala and others nearby if they catch fire. How can such a structure be developed when there are residents living within 1km?!?
This carry-on would never stand a chance in the cities. So why should rural communities be expected to put up with it?

This is one of three proposed BESS projects within approximately 500 metres of my residence. I believe this will be closer to my home than it will be to the home on the actual property it is being built on! It is within the City Boundary of Tamworth Regional Council, close to the suburb of Calala which many families have relocated to for a peaceful & quiet lifestyle.
We do not know the long term effects this will have on nearby residents health - the air pollution, the noise, potentially fire risk are all factors that will effect nearby residents.
Increase in traffic, particularly on the gravel roads surrounding the property, these roads were not constructed with the expectation of use by extremely heavy vehicles and machinery.
Possibly unable to access the BESS in case of fire or other emergency, in the recent situation of flooding in the area, Calala was within centimetres of being cut off from all traffic, both incoming and outgoing.
Decrease in land values in the area, the only residents that will benefit from the proposed BESS constructions are the ones selling and/or leasing their land. No compensation has been offered to other residents in the area, land and home values will decrease significantly for all others affected.
It appears that all profit from the BESS's will be going overseas, what actual benefits will there be to the local community?
