Next will be the expansion of the quarry.
After that will be the use of the quarry by other swindlers building similarly destructive wind/solar/BESS/transmission.
Last will be the approval to fill the open pit with toxic rubbish eg batteries, solar panels, turbine parts, turbine blades.

This quarry will deplete local groundwater reserves. The project associated with this quarry will deplete local groundwater reserves.
Wells, bores, springs, local creeks and the Talbragar River will be impacted by this quarry and the associated project.
Reducing water availability will not just impact the local ecosystem but the local stock and domestic water availability.
Stop destroying the environment, water is vital.

This quarry will degrade the landscape and contradicts NSW's environmental sustainability goals.
The heavy vehicle movements on this local road will disrupt grain getting to market, livestock to processors, and supplies to the local towns. Plus this has the potential to cause road accidents in a community that has limited access to medical or emergency services.

This quarry is not sustainable. The project it supports is not sustainable.
Both this quarry, and the project it is being developed for, will only contribute to environmental degradation.

Between this quarry and the project it supports there will be enormous habitat destruction. This will displace wildlife and disrupt ecosystems. The diverse species in the Liverpool Range area will be at risk, particularly the vulnerable, threatened and protected flora and fauna.
This project and the associated wind project will result in sediment runoff and chemical contamination of nearby water bodies. The site's proximity to the Talbragar River and tributaries that feed into the Talbragar River raise serious concerns about water quality for the environment plus the homes and businesses who rely on this water.
Dust, air and noise pollution from this project and the associated wind project is unacceptable. It is noted that there are no details regarding the public blast notification system. The pre blast assessment and blast monitoring system are still to be described.
Quarrying is not a sustainable practice and directly contradicts efforts to address climate change and environmental degradation.
I urge the NSW Government to reject this quarry as it is not in the best interests of the environment nor the community.
