I object to the quarry proposed for the Liverpool Range wind farm and other potential uses for this quarry moving forward. The potential for 287% increase of traffic from 2023 survey past my front gate will detrimentally impact my business and lifestyle.

I object to this proposal. It needs to be closer to the areas where the materials will be used and on land that is in favour of these 'renewables'. The increase in traffic volume is going to be massive and further degrade the quality of the roads.

As a mental health professional, I am aware that many people in the local community are opposed to this project and it is negatively impacting their mental health. The costs of the project need to be thoroughly considered before further progress is considered, including the mental, social, and community costs to those that call the region 'home'.

What negative impacts will this quarry project have on nearby water systems, dams, creeks and the Talbragar river? If this quarry then becomes a dumping ground for obsolete turbine blades, batteries and solar panels, the toxins from these defunct RE forms will then pollute the nearby waterways, thus impacting imperative drinking water for both humans, livestock and wildlife.

When this environmentally damaging project has finished, what will happen to the quarry/land afterwards? Will this site then become a dumping ground for obsolete/defunct turbine blades, batteries and solar panels? Not very "green"...

In the past, such quarry developments have been viewed as detrimental for the environment, waterways and the state's net zero targets. With this knowledge, why is project allowed to continue?

This quarry project will cause significant ecological impacts for threatened species within this region, and cause significant detrimental environmental damage.

Traffic between Coolah and the Golden Hwy - along Vinegary Road - will have an increase of 287% compared to the surveyed traffic results in 2023. This will cause significant structural damage to the road and as such, cause damage to our vehicles while we try to commute.

Once the Liverpool Range Wind project has been completed, who will be the next user of the quarry? Given the landowner has the ability to choose, will this be another wind/solar/battery project?

What happens to the quarry when its resources are depleted and exhausted? Will this quarry become the land fill for obsolete turbine blades, batteries, solar panels? What impact will this have on the environment both short-term and long-term?

Concerns regarding traffic: The landowners within the Liverpool Range wind project elected to take part in this project. Given this, shouldn't the traffic - particularly the heavy vehicles - all be directed through the boundaries within the wind project? After all this quarry material is required for internal roads, turbine foundations, hardstand areas. Why should public roads be destroyed due to the extra traffic?

In the past, quarry developments have been viewed as bad for the environment, waterways and the state's net zero targets. Given this information, why is this quarry still going ahead considering the destruction it will cause?

This is the beginning of a vast amounts of open pit mines - quarries.
Next will be the expansion of the quarry.
After that will be the use of the quarry by other swindlers building similarly destructive wind/solar/BESS/transmission.
Last will be the approval to fill the open pit with toxic rubbish eg batteries, solar panels, turbine parts, turbine blades.

Not Green Not Clean

Stop destroying the environment.

I object to the Liverpool Range Quarry

This quarry will deplete local groundwater reserves. The project associated with this quarry will deplete local groundwater reserves.

Wells, bores, springs, local creeks and the Talbragar River will be impacted by this quarry and the associated project.

Reducing water availability will not just impact the local ecosystem but the local stock and domestic water availability.

Stop destroying the environment, water is vital.

There are huge environmental concerns with this project. This project will have a lasting impact on local ground water sources and contaminate the Talbragar River.

This quarry will degrade the landscape and contradicts NSW's environmental sustainability goals.

The heavy vehicle movements on this local road will disrupt grain getting to market, livestock to processors, and supplies to the local towns. Plus this has the potential to cause road accidents in a community that has limited access to medical or emergency services.

More environmental vandalism for this community! Stop!

This quarry is not sustainable. The project it supports is not sustainable.

Both this quarry, and the project it is being developed for, will only contribute to environmental degradation.

If this project is to be used for the construction of the Liverpool Range Wind Farm once that project is complete will the quarry no longer be used or will it remain open for other projects and continue operations? Would the quarry be used for land fill once it's no longer extracting raw materials? Will the developers be required to improve local infrastructure to cope with increased traffic and heavy vehicle movements?

Message
This quarry will have significant environmental and social impacts on the local community.

Between this quarry and the project it supports there will be enormous habitat destruction. This will displace wildlife and disrupt ecosystems. The diverse species in the Liverpool Range area will be at risk, particularly the vulnerable, threatened and protected flora and fauna.

This project and the associated wind project will result in sediment runoff and chemical contamination of nearby water bodies. The site's proximity to the Talbragar River and tributaries that feed into the Talbragar River raise serious concerns about water quality for the environment plus the homes and businesses who rely on this water.

Dust, air and noise pollution from this project and the associated wind project is unacceptable. It is noted that there are no details regarding the public blast notification system. The pre blast assessment and blast monitoring system are still to be described.

Quarrying is not a sustainable practice and directly contradicts efforts to address climate change and environmental degradation.

I urge the NSW Government to reject this quarry as it is not in the best interests of the environment nor the community.
