* Safety concerns over the increased traffic in the local vicinity of the homes close to President Avenue
* The severe impacts to local community through pollution and noise
* The issues for residents having full access to their homes and street parking both during and after the project. I wrote to Bayside Council concerned about this as it's already an issue, but with no response.
* The taking over of the ONLY local parkland accessible to residents for several years, alongside the damage to the local wetlands, and wildlife.
* Reduced accessibility to public transport (buses on the grand parade are currently a 10-15 mins walk from President avenue and are the only direct service to the eastern suburbs/UNSW university area - this may be blocked by the entrance to the F6 tunnel.
* Already we have seen a loss in property values around the area after the notification of this tunnel development.
There has been a big lack of response to local community on all of the concerns raised. The community feels ignored. The only response given was to make minor safety changes to the traffic movement in local roads...none of the health / social concerns have been addressed so far. The EIS statements suggested BIG impacts to local community.
