Minarah College

Please accept my objection to the Minarah College development in the Catherine Field area.
I understand that this development in Catherine Fields and any development of this magnitude is unsustainable and poses a high risk to the current occupants in Catherine Field especially those in close proximity to the school. Without the necessary infrastructure in place to have a school of this size and the daily functions at the school as well as the transportation of the school children, teachers and parents to and from the school it poses a number of risks related to dangerous road and traffic conditions, particularly during peak school hours. Catherine Fields Road cannot sustain the huge amount of traffic that will result from the school being on this road without Catherine Field Road and its surrounding streets being upgraded with a more superior road quality and curb and guttering. Without the proper infrastructure to meet the effluent and water issues this development will cause a potential health risk to those attending the school and those in the surrounding areas.
The noise and disruption to the people living in close proximity to the school will be enormous.
I also understand that because this part of Catherine Field Road experiences flooding at times, this will also pose a risk to the occupants of the school and their neighbors in the event of flooding and endeavouring to leave the area. I imagine that the volume of people trying to leave the school and the surrounding area in the case of an emergency would also cause huge logistic issues to all concerned. I have seen how quickly the condition of Catherine Field road deteriorates with heavy rain causing enormous potholes and the edges of the road breaking away, causing dangerous driving conditions with potential accidents due to visibility and avoiding potholes, as well as damage to vehicle travelling on the road.
I would like to confirm from this submission to you that I strongly object to the Minarah College proceeding for all these reasons. However, in the event that Catherine Field has the go ahead and the plans are in place for it's infrastructure to be upgraded and we have the necessary water, sewerage and road developments in place we would welcome the opportunity to support the development of schools, shops and further residential and commercial development in our area.

I would like to affirm, as you can see that I strongly object to the Minarah College proceeding for all these reasons. Minarah College is an excellent organisation for fostering young minds and having another campus at Catherine Fields will provide great opportunities for students.

Theres a need for new Islamic schools in the new developing area which is mostly multicultural

Educatiion for all and cater for current demand.

I provide my unwavering support for the establishment of a new Minarah College campus in Catherine Fields. This project will directly benefit children and their families by providing an option to enrol their children in a faith based school. It will also provide an increase in employment across the education sector.

As the population in the Catherine Fields region continues to grow, the demand for quality educational options increases. The new campus of Minarah College represents an opportunity to meet that demand while also contributing to the long-term prosperity of the area. By nurturing local talent and providing a diverse range of opportunities, the school will help build a brighter future for students, families, and the community at large.
