In today’s increasingly interconnected world, the support of one campus by another is not just beneficial but essential for fostering a vibrant academic community. As institutions of higher learning, we share common goals of promoting knowledge, innovation, and personal growth among our students. By extending support to our sister campus, we can enhance educational opportunities, facilitate collaboration, and strengthen our collective identity.
Firstly, supporting another campus allows for the exchange of resources and ideas that can significantly enhance academic programs. Each campus has its unique strengths—whether it be a particular department, faculty expertise, or research facilities. By sharing these resources, we can create a richer educational environment for our students. For instance, a joint seminar series featuring faculty from both campuses can introduce students to diverse perspectives and methodologies, broadening their understanding of complex issues. Collaborative research projects can also emerge, allowing students and faculty to tackle real-world problems together, thereby enhancing the learning experience and fostering innovation.
Moreover, support between campuses encourages student engagement and networking opportunities. When students have the chance to interact with peers from another campus, it can lead to the development of lasting relationships and professional connections. Initiatives such as joint clubs, inter-campus competitions, and shared community service projects can create a sense of camaraderie and community spirit. These interactions not only enrich students’ academic lives but also prepare them for the collaborative nature of the modern workforce, where teamwork and networking are crucial.
Additionally, supporting another campus strengthens our collective voice in advocating for shared interests, such as funding, policy changes, and community engagement. When campuses unite to address common challenges, they become more influential in their advocacy efforts. For example, collaborating on a joint initiative to promote sustainability can amplify our impact and draw attention to the importance of environmental responsibility. This unified approach can also foster a sense of solidarity among students, faculty, and administrators, reinforcing our commitment to common goals.
In terms of cultural exchange, supporting a sister campus can lead to a richer educational experience. Programs that promote the sharing of cultural activities, such as art exhibitions, performances, and festivals, can celebrate the diversity present in our academic communities. This cultural enrichment enhances students’ understanding of different perspectives and encourages an appreciation for diversity, which is vital in our globalized world.
Lastly, it’s essential to recognize the personal connections that can develop through support initiatives. When students and faculty engage with their counterparts on another campus, they often find common ground that transcends geographic boundaries. This can lead to friendships, mentorships, and collaborative efforts that foster personal growth and development. Such connections contribute to a supportive academic environment where individuals feel valued and empowered.
In conclusion, supporting another campus is a strategic and meaningful endeavor that benefits everyone involved. By exchanging resources, fostering student engagement, advocating collectively, promoting cultural exchanges, and encouraging personal connections, we create a dynamic and enriched educational experience. As we move forward, let us embrace the opportunity to support our sister campus, recognizing that our strength lies in collaboration and unity. Together, we can build a stronger, more inclusive academic community that prepares our students for success in an ever-evolving world.

The development is very much dependent on the delivery of essential infrastructure by others, I don’t see any evidence that this will happen neither at construction stage or when the college is operational.
The Catherine Field precinct is yet to be rezoned or released for urban development, until such time any development of this scale would be “putting the cart before the horse”.
The site is an unsewered rural property situated on a rural road with no shoulders, kerb and gutter, footpath, lighting or piped underground stormwater. The site is in a flood area where ponding occurs, heightening the risks to students in a flood event.
Until the local council or state government complete strategic planning and infrastructure delivery for the region a development of this scale and impact should not be approved.
This project is not in the best interest of the local community, I strongly object.

Minarah College in Catherine Fields is really a much needed school in this area. not only this will boost residential community settlement, this will enhance local capital development. This is a all inclusive private school that will cater for the entire community. I am also planning to buy land in this area as South West is an upcoming high demand area. All the private schools in the area are at full capacity and with increase in population in this area, this school will fulfil the demand for primary and secondary school in this area. I fully support this development.

I wholeheartedly support the initiative to build an independent school in South Western Sydney.
South Western Sydney is a booming area and parents should have the opportunity to choose an educational institution that aligns with the ideals and belief system. Parents should easily be able to access schools within their area and not have to travel ridiculous distances hindered by stationary traffic and incessant tolls just to have a quality education for their children.
Minarah College has already succeeded in establishing a reputable institution in Green Valley and they can continue their educational legacy in Catherine Fields.
I wholly support this project and I anticipate that the NSW government will allow independent schools to flourish in South Western Sydney and complete with the independent schools in the Blue ribbon suburbs of Sydney.
