Educational organisations are assets for the community. Having a good school in the community will benefit all.

This new school is desperately needed and would be a positive addition to Catherine Field and the broader Western Sydney community. Minarah College has been a good neighbour in Green Valley and will do the same in Catherine Field.

Can i just add and make known that most of the people who are in favor for this school do not even live any where near Catherine Field and have no idea the terrible impact this would create for our community. They are just realitives and wont even be using the school.

I absolutely object to this insane application to this project.
This project if it went ahead would be a total disaster to the community of Catherine field.
We simply do not have the infrastructure to accommodate such a large school.
These people who applying have done nothing but lie about everything they are proposing. They will certainly not reframe from growing this school and turning it into a Mosk with traffic at all hours of the day and night. Its all lies and mis leading.

I live on the street that this project is on and know that this is totally unsuitable for this rural area for many reasons.
1. The roads are already full of potholes and in some places only allow for one car to pass.
2. This area, especially where the school is floods very badly. I have driven down this street on many occasions in rain and there is almost a river running in front of this location, I couldn't imagine how bad it would be with all the run off from the roofs and the parking lots. It would be dangerous for cars and children coming in and out. Also for the surrounding houses that would have all this run off into their properties. There is no access to the flood free evacuation routes.
3. This area does not have sewer and a pump system would have to travel there 24-7 as they are planning on running events even on weekends.
3. Traffic - we already get enough traffic from Oran Park - again the roads are only one lane each way if that, and schools create massive traffic - we live in the rural area for a reason.
4.The internet in our area is already so slow, now we have to accommodate a school stealing all the internet every day!!
5. There are no footpaths or gutters for kids to walk on - it is so dangerous to walk down our street. And again when it is wet it is all mud, so they may walk on the road.
6. Parking- there is not enough parking for a school, I have seen how many cars park around a school, where are these cars suppose to park???? I know in Austral they park all over the side of the road causing massive traffic problems and again danger to kids and other road uses. There are many trucks that go on this road, how will they get through safely. In austral they also park illegally in peoples private properties, why should people put up with that!
7. The builder is not willing to pay extra rates to council or any extras for the road to be repaired or widened- they expect the tax payer to pay this. They have tried to put the cart before the horse by purchasing inexpensive land and trying to put in there very expensive school so they can collect lots of fees and not put any money towards the local community, they are only causing issues to the residents, it does not enhance the area in anyway.
8. With the teacher shortage how will they even staff this school, it is taking teachers away from public education.
9. They say they will bus people in from other areas - this proves that this school in not needed in this area if they have to bus them in- go build it where these people live.
10. This is inappropriate use of this land in this area and does not meet the land use RU4 Primary Production Small
Lots zone - this will be a massive concrete construction in a beautiful rural landscape ruining the look of the street.
11. Noise level - again this is a peaceful rural area - not a place to put a noisy school and sporting facilities that will run everyday all night. how is that fair on residence that live here in peace.
12. It will decrease the value of our properties.
13. Catherine field is not ready for this development as a quite rural town- ask the people on the street how many are planning on sending their children there. Not ME.

I would like to keep our town rural. Our roads cannot handle a school. I am concerned with traffic congestion. Should this school be approved it will reduce the price and value of my house and other homes around the area. Thanks

I wholly support the construction of Minarah College. My wife and I recently moved into Austral and it's great to know that a new Muslim school is being built not too far away. There is a large and rapidly growing Muslim population in the area, so it's wonderful to see increase in education that caters to this demographic.
