With the amount of growth we will experience in the Southwest area as more and more families move to the area due to affordable housing and the expansion of a new city close to the new airport I strongly believe a school will be desperately needed. Independent schools are experiencing high demand and enormous waiting list.

I object based on Appendix P.
How can the school implement a FERP if the report shows that at times the BOM only gives 60 minutes notice. If 980 children are to be evacuated, how is this possible if they all come by private car and travel from the Green Valley and surrounding suburbs taking 40minutes just to reach the site then to line up in insufficient kiss and drop spaces for over an hour? This will be impossible.
If the children are held onsite during a flood event, the dangers on Catherine Field road at night time are increased- no kerb and gutter, no street lighting, no foorpaths and at this point in time, no line marking. Lastly, to propose to walk the entire school of 980 students in flood waters, with no footpaths to Catherine Field hall is ridiculous.
If this is approved, the approving office/ body should be put on notice that the Coroner's office is open to public submissions when a life is lost. The approving office/ body will be held to account by the local community!
There is mention that "there are opportunities to capitalise on public transport use to reduce the dependency of private vehicle travel". By capitalise, does this mean that they will not be providing shuttle bus/es? Further to this, the public buses do not travel past the site as shown in the Traffic & Transport report. Students will have to walk from the bus stop at Catherine Field hall on non-existant footpaths and safe routes.
The Camden Local Environmental Plan 2010 point 4. states that "information and education facilities" and "recreation facilities (indoor): recreation facilities (major) is PROHIBITED. This document also states" information and education facility means a building or placed used for providing information or education to visitors". As the students will be visitors to the zone and the use of the hall and soccer field total approximately 49 hours in one week, this proves that the proposal will be PROHIBITED. All the documents lead us to believe that the site WILL be used for both of these. The hire of the hall and the hire of the playing field.
The Urbis Land Use Conflict Risk Assessment says that "The proposed land use is compatible with the desired future character", what is the future character is there is no zoning planned? It also says that " the proposal will not promote diversity and employment opportunities in relation to primary industry uses" this defies the zoning requirements of the site.
The LUCRA report mentions "The proposed development represents a significant investment in Catherine Field, that will
provide significant construction jobs, approximately 434 jobs, and on-going education and education
support jobs once operational (approximately 99 operational jobs, directly and indirectly). Further, there
will be some stimulation of employment from purchases of primary produce by teachers and students". What, because teachers and students 'might buy' primary produce, this makes the SSDA acceptable? The application continuously mentions an educational establishment but they are merely looking to grow on their 'investment' as a commercial enterprise and charity using donations and government funding as a profitable business.
