Based on flooding concerns, overland flow and the EMA, I oppose this SSDA
Attached are photos in front of the site during a flood. Catherine Field road is quite often closed from Heatherfield close to Deepfield road as the road itself floods in at least two sections of the road. The documents do not sure any measure to overcome this and I have fears for staff and students safety if this SSDA is approved.
Catherine Field and surrounding roads have no kerb or gutters, no footpaths and very poor drainage. If they want this approved, why won't they contribute any WIK with state or local governments to guarantee the safety of those who will be using the school or local surrounding residents and road users?
The parking numbers are insufficient. If this proposal only has 51 staff members (which is half of the staff for Green Valley for the same student population), I guarantee that school cohort will be parking along Catherine Field road as there will not be enough car parking spaces. Stage 4 of the Available and Indicative EMA report clearly shows that there is insufficient kiss and drop spaces, insufficient (30 spaces provided but 144 REQUIRED), this will guarantee that cars will be banked up in both directions along Catherine Field road. More cars = a greater chance of accidents.
Can Minarah College confirm if they plan to have one bus or multiple buses? This is unclear
Minarah College AKA Green Valley Islamic College AKA The Muslim League of NSW need to provide the community with clear and concise information or land bank the properties until such time that infrastructure is at least planned before continuing and further propsals.
With a great concern for the health and safety, this proposal is not suited for Catherine Field.

This section of Catherine Field is not zoned nor is there any signs of future plans to zone. The current infrastructure in Catherine Field cannot support a development of this size. The site is known to flood as shown in Camden Council's recent flood maps. The teacher numbers reported are insufficient compared to Green Valley Islamic college, thus deeming the parking and traffic report false and misleading. The road upgrades are only planned when the school is at full capacity. The road upgrades do not go any further than the front of the school site. Minarah college claim they are exempt from paying any local or state contributions.
There has been no consideration for surrounding residents, the proposal is a money making scheme/ commercial enterprise to capitalise on its own growth of wealth and not the safety of students. I strongly object to Minarah College

This project should not go ahead that this point in time as the site in which it is to be built needs major infrastructure to support it. The infrastructure needed is not in the plans for Catherine Field for a good number of years.
Catherine Field Road will not support the very large increase of vehicles using the Road- over 1000 cars morning and afternoon. It is a typical country road- no kerb and guttering. no Street lights, no footpaths pot holes.
Safety of the children playing a soccer field which is on top of EMH sipping through onto the Soccer Field. Operating hours 7 days a week a lot of hours outside school hours with a lot of business activities being conducted in the premises.
This development does not benefit the Camden area with all the students being fared in via buses morning and afternoon

I still object to the Minarah College on Catherine Fields road, Catherine Field, even though the school site has been reduced to a lesser amount of students, it appears that none of the infrastructure required for the school has changed. The area which this school plans on developing is not suitable for any school for many reasons as listed below:
1. There is not enough parking
2. There is poor access to the school
3. The suggested route in and out of the school and accompanying roads in the area will not cope with the extra traffic in the area for many reasons. The roads in the area are rural, narrow and hardly cope with the currnet traffic let alone the additional traffic a school will bring.
4. Chisholm Road is only 1 and a half lanes wide at best and you can't pass another car let alone the additional buses that the school will bring.
5. At pressure our water pressure is poor at the best of times and a school of 960 students plus teachers would severely reduce our current water pressure further than it is at present.
6. There has been no attempt in the planning and developmment of the school to reduce flooding issues which we currently have, if anything this school development will increase flooding on Catherine Fields road. The answer we've been given is that they will remove the 960 students and walk them along the road without footpaths to the local community hall which would only accomodate around 100 people.
7. We have also been notified that the RFS is building a 6 truck station on Catherine Fields road. This would seriously be tied back during school hours gpoing west onn Catheinre Field Road reducing its effectiveness and response time for accidents and fire response.
I really hope that the points of concern and current submission for the development of Minarah College or any school on this site are considered and that the development won't go ahead for these and many other reasons.
Yours Faithfully
Josef Strassmeir

Warning - This email originates from an external organisation
The meeting about a school being built that most children in the local area can't even attend needs to be on the next council agenda
Are street can not handle the traffic they get now let alone 950 new cars to drop off and pick up children and parking outside rate payers houses is not acceptable especially when they never agree to have people parking outside there house day and night as the opening hours are 8 till 10 at night
We live in a rural area and the rules for this area should be for everyone and not just the rich who can afford to build a new school. And infrastructure. This is a money grab for the council. And the school have slot of money to throw around
Building this school does not even agree with the zoning guild lines so do this means if l wanted to build more houses on my land l could. Because that's what they are doing
This just proves money pays
This needs to be on the next council agenda

I support the new campus for many reasons
The new school would be a positive addition to Catherine Field and the broader Western Sydney community,
Western Sydney families deserve to have convenient access to quality education and the proposed Campus
would help meet this need.
We are looking to move into the surrounding area and this school would be ideal for us
We need more schools in the area to meet the predicted rapid growth rapidly and the proposed new school is
urgently needed to meet the demand of the community.
The current campus has a long and proud history of contributing to the local community, supporting the community by
participation in various commemorations, fundraising for charities like the Cancer Council,
donations and food drives, and visiting older people in residential care. I have no doubt that it will do the same at
Catherine Field.
Minarah College will be a good neighbour to neighbours in Catherine Fields as they have been around the
Green Valley campus.
The impact on local roads will be minimised as parents will follow the rules during drop-offs and pick-up and are well within
the school boundaries
There is ample car parking on site and easy access and exit from the site.
Minarah College Green Valley has shown itself to be a great place for learning.
Topped the list of best performing schools in Liverpool based on NAPLAN results for 2020.
Minarah Campus Students in Catherine Fields will have access to the latest technology enabling students to reach their potential.
It will bring an economic boost to the area.
Parents and friends will shop at the local stores
The school will provide ongoing jobs for teachers and for tradesman during construction period.

I think it's a great idea to open an Islamic School in Catherine Fields. From what I know I don't believe there are any islamic schools in that area or surrounding areas. Therefore itll be a great opportunity for many residents living in those suburbs.
