I am opposed to the Piliga coal seam gas project. The risks to the Piliga, the Great Artesian Basin, and the lenvironmental area of NSW cannot be in anyway mitigated to the point where approval should be given. In the risk v reward equation, the risk will be borne by all of us and the reward only by a handful. The risks cannot be eliminated so this project must not be approved. As I grow older I look to travel our magnificent country and I want to see the Piliga as it now, as it was tens of thousands of years ago. I want my now grown children and their children to be able to see as it is, as it was.
The government is elected as reprentatives of the people. The people have said no to CSG all over this state. The peoples of the Piliga and beyond are saying NO, heed the wishes of the people.

I am opposed to this project in many grounds. The risk to our environment when we have many other renewable alternatives. Lack of faith in corporate entities ability to not put profit before safety. First Nation people being opposed to this use on their traditional country. Existing farming and community stakeholders being against the project.

Enough is enough, Fossil fuels are no longer the solution, they are the gateway to further harm and disasters.

The Narrabri Gas Project should NOT be allowed to go ahead. the precious natural resource that ALL Australians need is Water. These types of projects do irreparable damage to lands and water ways - I have seen it in Queensland. Please STOP the Narrabri Gas Project and save our most precious resources, our land, water and native animal habitats.

I am extremely concerned that the fossil fuel giant, Santos, has now released its plans to drill 850 coal seam gas wells right through the heart of the Pilliga forest and through the Great Artesian Basin.

These plans will lead to the devastation and destruction of one of Australia's most important water resources, the Great Artesian Basin, and the to destruction of pristine bush land and precious wildlife habitat.

I strongly oppose this development for the devastation it will cause the area now and for ever into the future. Australia does not need this kind of environmental vandalism that is scarring high value environments across the world. All they are interested in is to simply make massive profits (at our cost) for multi national Corporations who will walk away and leave their toxic mess and devastated land behind when they have taken all they can. I urge you to please oppose this proposal for the sake of the health of the environment and all Australians.
Sincerely Raven North

To P.M. Malcolm Turnbull.

On behalf of the people & the precious Pilliga land, I ask you to listen to the residents of this area, the majority objecting to Santos & their coal seam gas plans! Could the government, for once, listen to the people's voice, take heed, think about the damage this mining will do to this pristine land!
I am a proud Australian but, when I see what is happening to our beautiful land, it saddens me deeply, when thinking of future generations. Please listen to the people!

Sincerely,
Anne Peters

We must preserve our natural & unique environment for future generations.
The future is in renewable energy. The Government MUST be seen to support the businesses that reflect sustainable practices in energy resources.
Do we really need to continue to have this conversation?

I object to Santos' Narrabri Gas Project in the Pilliga.
Frankly, I can't believe that with the overabundance of evidence of the destruction and dangers of CSG throughout the WORLD that the government is even considering allowing this and other such projects. The government truly must be run by psychopaths who consider their own personal gain in kickbacks or funding for the next election to be more important than the 100,000's of people and future generations that this unethical industry negatively effects.
Unfortunately, it will be too little too late, in the years to come when the politicians that signed off on such projects are sent to prison for their gross negligence and misconduct of duty for the death and destruction they enabled.
I could list pages of reasons against CSG, the dangers and destruction it causes. But that should be the job of the government to find out (and I'm sure other submitters have listed them before me). Instead, I'll remind any official/person that is part of the enabling of this cancerous industry, that history will depict them as subhuman monsters feeding off the misery and destruction of their fellow humans and environment. Their children and grandchildren will be disgusted by their actions, lack of empathy and morals, ashamed to be of their lineage. The nightmares, sleepless nights and PTSD that will build up as they see the ongoing disasterous effects of the CSG industry unfold will, deservadly, be their to burden to rightfully carry.

This should not go ahead. The owners of the land, farmers and the community have all said no....and the native wildlife and environment, are always the last consideration, will be damaged forever! Sink the money into storage for renewables and everyone will be better off.
