North Byron Parklands Cultural Events Site is a fantastic facility for the Byron and surrounding regions. The events/festivals we have seen to date are just the tip of the what this facility will be able to provide the region. We hope the government is able to focus on the economic and cultural benefits Parklands supplies to the the region.

This event gives the region a significant financial and cultural boost. Among other things the splendour event assists many small businesses get through what was previously a quiet time of year and often you would see business close through this period.

I strongly support this submission. The parklands are not only fantastically maintained they are run in a manner with the utmost respect to the environment and the surrounds that the Northern Rivers deserves. The site also is a perfect hosting site for events and not only offers a safe and friendly environment for artists and fans but also provides many local businesses and people the financial rewards such events bring to a regional part of NSW.

To whom it may concern:-
We offer our support for an organisation that considers the environment before profit. We were happy to involve our company with an organisation that has a positive plan to save our natural resources and use the power of alternative energy. Splendour and the Falls Festivals deliver positive outcomes for attendees who take the experience away with them and hopefully continue with the learned experiences. Click Village International is hoping other groups will use their experience with solar lighting and not diesel generated lighting.

The financial benefit that these festivals bring to the local community is so great that I believe many businesses and ergo families would suffer without them. They are proven to be successful and should have permanency to allow for better forward planning for owners and government bodies alike.

Having been to and experienced both Splendour and Falls Festivals at Byron Parklands over many years it would be a great shame to see such well organised, happy and environmentally friendly events have to move from this site. These events are an important part of not only the Northern NSW areas, but ALL of Australia's cultural landscape and are the only few remaining events of their type left in Australia. I am confident many more people will be extremely disappointed and upset if these events are unable to continue at Byron Parklands as opposed to the relatively small number who would be happy if they didn't. THANK YOU.

I am a great supporter of Byron Parklands. I have been and to many festivals there as both a spectator and vendor selling clothing.
The cultural and financial benefits for me have been huge. It truely is a fantastic site. Well managed and easy on a business side to work with.
I hope that I can continue to use the site for many years to come

I believe that this site would be a fantastic permanent music/cultural and arts event site due to it's location and the way it has preserved the local environment.

The economic and social benefits of maintaining the site as a permanent cultural and events venue can not be overstated. Patrons who travel, via whatever mode, will spend money on their way, it exposes metro people to regional australia in an exciting inclusive environment. If this does not exist, people will just continue to congregate for metro city events, isolating regional australia even more.
