I object to the current plans for the hospital mostly because there is too little being done to solve the traffic problems that already exist in the area. The area chosen for the proposed hospital is already in gridlock daily for lengthy periods, so it seems crazy for so much money to be invested at this location when it will put lives at greater risk because ambulances will not be able to reach the hospital quickly thanks to the terrible traffic problems. The hospital will generate even more traffic and make the situation even worse for everyone - local residents, patients, doctors, nurses etc. I do not believe that this is the best place for a hospital because of the traffic problems, the lack of public transport and especially a railway. If the hospital is to go ahead then the transport issues need to be addressed prior to its construction and resolved properly in order to make the hospital more accessible. The main hospital building is too high and out of keeping with the local residential neighbourhood. The site is high and on a slope. Excavating the area for car parking etc would reduce the visibility of the proposed 10 storey building for miles around, reduce the towering effect of the hospital over the surrounding homes, and reduce the overshadowing effect it will have on the Forest High School. This development is out of keeping with the road infrastructure and character of the suburb. I have also attached a pdf file outlining my main concerns.
