- they are not permitted in the SP2 zone.
- they will inhibit the future growth of the hospital.
- their footprint creates the need for the hospital to be built as a ten floor structure, on the highest portion of the site.
- their size is completely out of scale with the neighbourhood.
- the creation of loss of amenity and privacy for neighbouring properties in the R2 zone and many other resulting issues such as the loss of 86 mature trees across the site.

We are writing to express our deep opposition to the plans to increase by so much the size of Greenwich Hospital and for high-rise towers on the existing site.
There are many reasons this is such a bad idea. The increase in traffic on small, narrow St.Vincent's Road is by itself reason enough not to proceed. Just drive on this road at any time and it is obvious: two cars can barely pass each other at the best of times. As for greatly increased arrivals /departures on extremely busy River Road, directly opposite Greenwich Primary School, again, common sense dictates that this is a very bad proposition which would have disastrous, gridlock consequence for traffic flow, children’s safety, etc., particularly at morning and evening peak hours.
These plans will, if carried out, greatly detract from the amenity of this small, quiet suburb, with the planned cutting down of at least seventy trees just the start.
We ask you please to reconsider this terrible plan and the ongoing effects it will have on safety, traffic and environmental grounds. The proposal is a very bad one and has clearly been poorly and thoughtlessly planned.
Yours,
John and Chrys Gourlay.

I wish to object to this D.A. on the following grounds;
It is double the height and the size of the Hospital and overwhelming on this site.
This plan should be spread over the site, keeping it in context with this residential area.
The loss of trees - 80 trees proposed to be cut down is a disgrace - it is most important to protect green space especially on Heritage zoned land.
I do hope a responsible outcome will be achieved.
Yours sincerely,
Colleen Bray
