This "project" is going to destroy the property. We run cattle on the farm, which we sell as "natural/organic", so this will really affect my business. I have also recently planted trees as a habitat a rare cockatoo in the area. I would like to continue to live in peace on the property, adhd not live next to a noisy, dusty quarry. PEOPLE LIVE HERE!

I purchased the property next door to the proposed and quarry around 10 years ago after my wife passed away as a retreat and place to eventually retire. However, due to the noise this quarry will generate I don't think I will be able to enjoy my farm in peace. This really upsets me as an elderly man. I also worry about the value of the property being affected.

I live on the adjoining property and I'm devastated by this development. It's going to impact my life in so many ways. The increased traffic and noise, the environmental concerns (increased dust silicosis) and destruction of habitat of wildlife have me very stressed. Not to mention the possibility that the land values will be impacted. PLEASE don't let this mine go ahead!

This mine is not needed, there are other sand mines operating at low capacities.
The mine will ruin the beauty of this area of the southern highlands.
The developer has an appalling record of EPA breaches and cannot be trusted.
The issues of noise, traffic , environmental damage, wildlife concerns , effect to groundwater table, silicosis from dust have not been properly addressed.
The current submission is a lot of documents aimed at trying to confuse or bamboozle people, many issues previously raised years ago about this mine have still not addressed properly.

This sand quarry must not go ahead. It is a critical wildlife habitat corridor for native species from south of NSW to the North into the Blue Mountains. The area and the soil profile is an important water catchment and filtration system for above and below ground into the many water systems that flow into and out of this area where the quarry is proposed. The quarry will cause a significant impact on the environment and could cause irreversible damage that could have far reaching consequences for water supply for wildlife and human consumption and use

The sand mind should not be operating in this area. It will have devastating consequences to our native wildlife as it will destroy their habitat and the wildlife corridor for native animals between blue mountains and south coast, not to mention the significant environmental destruction.
This area is such a significant water catchment area for The City of Sydney.
This will cause devastation to both humans and wildlife. This sand mind is not warranted and should not even be considered for this area, what a poor lack of judgment from projects nsw.

environmental concerns. This project has no regard to the surrounding environment and its protection and in addition to the numerous issues that it present from a destruction perspective, it is also a biodiversity threat

I strongly oppose this project. The proposed mine will create significant and irreparable environmental damage. It will also destroy the wildlife corridor between the South Coast and Blue Mountains. The area is also a significant water catchment area for Sydney and I don’t believe this has been given any care of consideration for.

How ridiculous to open a mine so close to Sydney’s water catchment let alone the corridor for native Flora and Fauna! Please consider another location that will decrease impact on such a large population of humans and animals

To Whom it May Concern,
I object to this mine on broad and multiple environmental concerns.
The mine proposal is to clear 110 hectares of land, mostly native bushland and mine sandstone to a depth 60 m below ground level – well below the water table. There is also a threat to a loss of biodiversity, severe increase in dust pollution and significant increases in traffic. This mine must not go ahead.

I visit a very close friend who lives in the area several times a year & definately want the area to be protected. The proposed quarry has huge negative implications for both the areas air & water quality and will also result in changes to the water table levels.
These impacts as outlined above can & unfortunately will also cause huge issues for the fauna & flora of the area. Therfore the quarry should not be permitted to proceed due to all these detrimental impacts.

I object to this project.
- I live on an adjacent property to this proposed Quarry. The NSW Planning Dept advised the Developer years ago to consult with the locals about issues raised. I have never been contacted by the Developer, they dont care about locals or neighbours.
- Traffic plan is dangerous, to think that over 300 trucks per day will enter/exit the Hume to this mine in the location proposed every day is absurd.
- Noise from truck traffic is a concern to residents not only near the quarry site, but also at the Marulan overpass, especially in the hours before 7am
- Noise from the quarry is understated in the Submitted Noise Study. Previous concerns raised about the false or misleading noise levels have not been addressed
- Ground water will be contaminated, experts have previously made claims about the impact of the quarry to the local groundwater table and pollution via run-off. Again, these issues raised have been ignored or disregarded.
- Dust from mining can never be disregarded as causing Silicosis, this issue is not addressed.
- A Sand mine should never be allowed to occur so close to residential properties for all of the reasons that are so obvious. There are other quarries in the region vicinity that are operating at low production levels, we don't need another sand mine in this part of Sutton Forest.
- the Developer has a dodgy record of non-compliance and EPA penalties and cannot be trusted, given their track record.
