The increased use of helicopters are becoming a distraction especially when flying over our homes. The flight path for the helipad needs to be addressed to ensure residents lifestyles are not distracted.

We have relocated from Sydney with no family in the area. We want our family and friends to visit but they have no place to stay, especially in Morisset area. We already have a long list of our family and friends who cannot wait for the hotel to open.

I am a resident and property owner in Morisset Park. I object to the proposal for Trinity point. I am concerned about the lack of infrustruce to support such a huge development. Traffic on the Morisset peninsula is under huge pressure at peak times of the day at present and the roads are not set up to take the current volume let alone a development of this size. There appears to be no plans in this DA for roads work to accommodate an increase in traffic it would bring to the Morisset peninsula.
3 example of pressure points.
Trinity Point Drive between the Charles street round about and the Trinity point round about.
This section on Trinity point road were the trees are along the edge of the roadways. It is very difficult for cars to pass along this section of road let alone trucks and busses which would be travelling to the development. At present when the garbage trucks go along this section of road you can not pass them, already there have been many close calls with accidents on a Wednesday. This will put pressure on this piece of road every day of the week with out widening this section of road.
T intersection Morisset Park road and Fishery Point Road at Bonnells Bay school.
This intersection is a high accident point at present with at least 3 accidents there a week. At school drop off and pick up times this area is so dangerous with young children about. This intersection needs and upgrade now, with out adding any more traffic.
CNR Fishery Point Road and Macquire st Morisset.
At most times of the day this intersection is very busy but at peak times there is a delay of several changes of lights to proceed through this intersection. Large vehicles like trucks and buses take up 2 lanes to be able to turn left towards Morisset, this causes even further delays through this intersection, this development will only increase this issue.
In finishing I would like to see a traffic plan and a major upgrade to the peninsula before a development of this size is approved.

I oppose this future development. The development of a 42 metre high dwelling will set a new precedent for future development in Lake Macquarie that we have not seen around the lake before and there is simply no need for a high rise living.
We do not have the roads or infrastructure to support this sort of development. For instance, you have Trinity Point Drive in Morisset Park, the main street into the point that is narrow with trees cut into the bitchem and residents with caravans and boats parked out the front of houses. When you have 2 large cars driving down Trinity Point Drive there is only enough room for a single car to pass. What is going to happen when there are hundreds of additional residents and guests living in this area, travelling on these roads and with no public transport.
I look at housing developments such as Catherine Hill Bay, that suburb has been ruined by "The Beaches" local development. We have friends that live in an original house in Catherine Hill Bay now being flooded by the rain runoff from the development at the top of the hill because there's nowhere for the rain to go. My inlaws live at Caves Beach and the new apartment complex next to the Caves Beach Resort has so many residents purchasing apartments to use as AirBnB they have noise complaints every weekend with drunken parties.
The information supplied also indicates there is a need for mixed use tourism and there is a lack of accommodation for holiday makers, but may I remind you of the redevelopment of the Morisset Golf Couse that will include accommodation only 7km from Trinity Point and approved by council.
I feel if this development is passed it will mean Rafferty’s Resort redevelopment of apartments will pass (on exhibition through Lake Macquarie Council) and next will be high rise apartments at the Morisset Hospital Site and Myuna Bay Sport and Rec developments once the state government approves the land sale as well, when will it stop?
Don't get me started on the noise pollution of a helipad. We couldn't even run a ferry service across Lake Macquarie and now there's going to be a helipad, that that the alternative to driving.
Yes, tourism is great, but we don't need an ugly eyesaw on the edge of this pristine lake at the sake of lining someone else's pockets by shoving hundreds of guests and residents on top of each other. Progress is great but greed is not!

There are no decent restaurants or any facilities at all to enjoy Lake Macquarie
This development needs to be supported as it provides so much to the community including jobs and access to the lake and we love visiting Lake Maquarie now just for the restaurant let alone what is going to be built it is amazing

Current infrastructure does not support the proposed project. Dora St Morisset is a significant traffic jam at times during the day and the surrounding roads are not adequate to support and increase in traffic in Morisset and Surrounding areas.
Morisset Park Rd is currently single lane, narrow and no curb and guttering and will not support increased traffic to the Trinity Point complex.
Emergency services are not appropriate for the proposed project in the area, the current police station at Morisset is only a Highway Patrol hub. The Ambulance station does not have the staff to support the project. Fire services in the area are currently On-Call Paid Part time in Morisset and the surrounding fire services are volunteer Rural Fire Service stations. This will impact response times to any emergency at the proposed project.

My father worked for 28 years at St John of God Boys Home which enveloped the entire Trinity Point development. As a young boy I would spend many of my school holidays fishing, swimming and spear fishing around its perimeter foreshore, while my father worked at the home all day .
The entire development has managed to retain the aesthetics of those years with the natural fore shore remaining largely intact within its natural state, to qualify this as an example look at the estate development and boating facilities which has already occurred in line with the development applications lodged, compliant and deserving of praise.
The new extended development will be inline with the strict development applications put down by the respective departments.
The extension, to include, hotel rooms and serviced apartments, residential apartments, function centre, restaurants, shops, commercial space etc will not only serve to promote and beautify it will provide a major boost to employment of locals and boost tourisms to the Morisset area and the lower part of Lake Macquarie.
I commend the Johnson Property Group on the development so far and feel confident that the concept plan is the next step forward to complete the fantastic show piece of the project know locally as "Trinity Point".

I wouldn’t normally voice my concerns like this, but the way I feel, as do many others in the community, can’t go unheard.
Although I see the appeal of the proposal, I cannot see how it succeeds logistically, at least for the moment.
The infrastructure around Morisset is deplorable. I have the privilege of working 9 minutes from my front door, yet can spend 40 minutes in traffic either way. I’m expecting this to increase once the Cedar Mill project is complete.
People who utilise these roads need some answers on how these development applications will actually be supported via infrastructure upgrades, that will help ease the traffic problem that is already beyond painful.
The area seems to be growing daily, seeing more and more moving trucks around the area, but unfortunately hearing of so many long term locals, leaving their once quiet piece of paradise.
I’m sure there are people who will love visiting Trinity Point to utilise the proposed, they will hate getting off the freeway and enjoying another hours worth of traffic to go 8.2km.
