Knockdown Rebuild Journey

PHASE 1 east

While planning your knockdown rebuild, you should be considering your finances, organising site inspections and choosing your builder or demolition contractor.

PHASE 2 east

There are different applications needed for demolition and construction approval. Discover what reports and planning approval certificates you will need before your knockdown rebuild can start. 

PHASE 3 east

Your home is ready to be demolished by the hired demolition contractor. You should be obtaining demolition approval and notifying neighbours of the planned work in this phase. 

PHASE 4 east

The demolition of your house is complete, and the site is cleared for the construction of your new home. You should be ready to obtain a construction certificate, appoint a principal certifier and seek lender approval to start construction.  

PHASE 5 east

The construction of your home is complete. You should be going through a pre-handover inspection with your builder and applying for an occupation certificate.
