Service updates
Bugs and fixes
This release included the following minor fixes to address known technical issues:
- A validation was added to the ‘Date the inspection was completed’ field within the ‘Inspection details’ section of the Critical Stage Inspection to prevent a future date being input. This change was made in both the Complying Development Certificate and Construction Certificate services.
- A validation was added to the ‘Date the inspection was scheduled’ field within the ‘Missed inspection details’ section of the Critical Stage Inspection to prevent a future date being input. This change was made in both the Complying Development Certificate and Construction Certificate services.
- Amended the heading ‘Inspection missed’ to ‘Inspection record‘ in the system generated ‘Inspection Result sheet’ within the Inspection case.
- Email notification sent to payer following successful housing productivity and contributions payment for existing applications.
- Housing productivity and contributions payment confirmation available on the documents tab within the payment case for existing application. This is accessed from the ‘Related case’ tab within the related development application or complying development certificate application.
- An additional document category ‘Other Documents’ is available for applicants to select on the ‘Requirements and uploads’ screen for existing complying development certificates.
- An additional document category ‘Other Documents’ is available for selection by councils and certifiers when requesting additional information for existing complying development certificate.
- Updated content in the system-generated notification when a new private certifier user registers for a NSW Planning Portal account.
NSW Planning Portal website
The Application Tracker has been updated to improve the performance and search results. The improvements include:
- The default view on the ‘Applications’ tab is a map of NSW with 4 pins. This will reduce the time taken to load the information.
- Refinement of the search results to only include those relevant to the filters applied by the user.
- The display of ’Applications’ search results will be limited to 4 per page. Select the ‘>’ to progress to the next page.

Application Programming Interface (API)
Minor housekeeping updates were made to the Application Program Interface (APIs). There is no urgency for councils and certifiers using these APIs to implement these changes, they could be included in your next scheduled API upgrade. The changes are:
- All Online Post-Consent Certificate v1 APIs, have been amended to accept an upper case ‘D’ for documents. This change ensures consistency across all APIs.
- The assigned user validation has been removed from all inbound operations within Concurrence and Reference Service API v1.
- The CDC reference number validation that was preventing an Occupation Certificate being created from a related complying development certificate has been removed from the 'Determine' operation in the Online Post-Consent Certificate API v1.
- When the value within the ‘CreateExhibition’ operation in Common API v2 is ‘isPublishDoc: true’, the documents will be published on the NSW Planning Portal.
