Release Notes
31 January 2025 minor release
05 February 2025
Service updates
Bugs and fixes
This release included minor fixes to address known technical issues including:
- Adding ‘Straw panel walls’ as an option for ‘External wall’ for houses on the ‘DIY walls and Materials walls’ screen within the BASIX service.
- When the simulation method for thermal performance has been applied, a new disclaimer will be included on the front page of a BASIX certificate. This disclaimer will advise stakeholders about the requirement to provide a NATHERS certificate when submitting a development application or complying development certificate application.
- BASIX certificates generated after 31 January 2025 will display the heat source pump type for hot water selected by the applicant in the ‘Energy details’ section.
- When a BASIX application is transferred to a different user, the new users details will be listed in the ‘Applicant details’ tab within the BASIX application.
- Updated ‘Contact us’ link in the top right-hand corner of the Portal dashboard.
- When a private certifier registers a modification to a complying development certificate in the certificate registration service, the question ‘Was the CDCR applied for via the NSW Planning Portal?’ was renamed to ‘Was the original registration of the complying development certificate submitted on the NSW Planning Portal?’
- Validation added to the required field ‘Was the original registration of the complying development certificate submitted on the NSW Planning Portal?’ to ensure an accurate complying development certificate reference number is input by the private certifier when registering a ‘modification to complying development registration certificate’ with council via the Certificate registration service. This improves the accuracy of the information provided by the certifier and reduces the number of support requests.
- ‘Please provide portal application number (CDCR)’ has been renamed to ‘Please provide portal application number (CR-CDC)’ in the certificate registration service.
- ‘Prepopulate CDCR details’ button in the certificate registration service has been renamed to ‘Prepopulate certificate details’ in the certificate registration service.
- Re-introduction of email notifications for controlled activity approval applications when the council requests additional payment from the applicant, and the applicant successfully pays the fee.
- Removed the system clocks on the Agency dashboards for ‘Advice/notification’ clause types within the Concurrence and Referral system.
- ‘Please provide NSW Planning Portal application number (PAN) and click on button below to get details’ has been renamed to ‘Please provide NSW Planning Portal application number (PAN).’
- Validation of the development application reference number (PAN-xxx) provided by an applicant on modification or review development applications when the user does not select ‘Prepopulate DA details’ in the DA Online service. If an incorrect reference number is provided, an error message will display and the user will be unable to submit the application. This improves the accuracy of the information provided by the applicant and reduces the number of support requests.
- Registrant or host won't be able to renew a short-term rental accommodation listing if it has been de-activated.
- Email notification sent to payer following successful housing productivity and contributions payment.
- Housing productivity and contributions payment confirmation available on the documents tab within the payment case. This is accessed from the ‘Related case’ tab within the related development application or complying development certificate application.
Application Programming Interface (API)
Minor housekeeping updates were made to the Application Program Interface (APIs). There is no urgency for councils and certifiers using these APIs to implement these changes, they could be included in your next scheduled API upgrade. The changes are:
- ‘Status’ has been renamed ‘Statuscode’ when success=200 in the Online Certificate Registration APIv1. This will make it consistent with other fields.
- Date recorded in the Common API ‘CSIPerformed’ has been amended to reflect Australian Eastern Standard Time (AEST).
View the technical specification for the APIs for online services for more information.
