This is a Objection to the proposed Gunnedah waste facility
This will have a negative effect on the rural community
1) Nsw should not be responsible for other states waste
2) the location is to close to homes and will be a massive value decrease to all real Esate in the area
3) This location is too close to the river which has already suffered from massive drought and will now be exposed to pollution, this will have a flow on effect to the local agriculture and result in a massive economic loss for farmers and the local economy

I object to this proposed development because
This is land that is close to business as well as small rural holdings with established houses.
The land is good farming land and should not be trashed and ruined.
In turn the adjoining land not owed by this company will be devalued and adversely affected and their activities will be affected by dust and pollution and traffic.
Please reconsider this project.

I am writing to object to the Proposed waste facility at Lots 1 & 2 Torrens RD Gunnedah.
I am a Health care worker and strongly object to this proposal
this location is not a reasonable location
1) Increased air pollution, Rural towns healthcare have very limited health resources and I feel an increase in toxic waste will result in further pressure to the already at capasity health care system in the area
2) increase in noise pollution, this will have a negative effect on the locals mental health
3) increased traffic and trucks, effects on mental health and safety
This facility is just simply located too close to residential property and the effects will be detrimental to peoples health and wellbeing

I write concerning the proposed Gunnedah Waste Facility to be constructed on Lots 1 and 2 DP 122699216 Torrens Rd Gunnedah.
I believe the proposed development is located too near to town, private residences, rural/residential properties and other businesses.
I am greatly concerned regarding the impacts on those nearby in terms of dust, fumes, noise and increased heavy traffic, and even more concerned regarding the possibility of toxic waste contamination of the surrounding air, land and ground water impacting the wider community.
I am concerned that there has been no town meeting to make residents aware of this development and provide the opportunity for concerns to be aired and addressed.
I object to this development on the basis that it has the potential to affect the Gunnedah community’s health and wellbeing – it will most definitely have an adverse impact on those located close to it.

I would like to register my concerns over the Gunnedah Waste Facility proposed for Torrens Road within the Gunnedah town limits.
I am horrified that this is being suggested to be built within town limits and so close to a high school site.
I do not want this built in our community but especially not where it is being proposed.
We should not be lumped with the toxic waste of other communities and entities especially Santos.
Please do not allow this to go ahead!!!!

The project is too close to town and the nearby river. The location should be moved further out of town.

This project would be detrimental to the surrounding river system in the event of a flood. As well as being a a nuisance to residents in the general area. Therefore I strongly object to this project going ahead.

I object strongly to the Gunnedah Waste Disposal project.
This project has thhe potential to affect the local Gunnedah and district community's health and wellbeing.
I do not believe it will offer incentive for people to settle in Gunnedah and it will most certainly have detrimental effect on nearby neighbours, businessesand employees all ready established and does not have the potential to attract other non related industries.
This has had no public consultation and has been poorly advertised and has left multiple unaddressed issues.
Why has the land fill proposal for The Marys Mount Quarry been designated to a Shire DA, If that is to be the end destination for the waste should it not be under the same appliication as the Waste disposal plant as they are dependant on the other's approval? Or is there another landfill area being considered? Have the neighbouring properties to the Quarry been consulted ?
Will there be a quarantee there will be no future modifications to this project which will increase the quantity and possibly the toxicity of the waste being transported treated and disposed of in the near future. If not there needs to be, the Community expects and deserves total transparency in this matter
With regard to Mackellar Industries, MEX or MacKellar Equipment Hire as they now call themselves,Should an industry of this nature be in the hands of a company who have a number of EPA breaches and infringement notices , they have not demonstrated duty of care or due dilligency in the past.Does the Community believe they have the integrity and can be trusted to put the environments and public interest ahead of their financial gain? This is yet to be
demonstrated or dertermined.
The economic benefit of the employment rate of only 62 during construction phase and over 18 to run the facillity which includes some already employed by MacKellar does not outweigh the the potential detrimental effects on Gunnedah's new industrial estate and existing neighbours or the very real possibility that people will not want to relocate to a town with a waste disposal centre that services Sydney, Newcastle and Brisbane and dumps its discarded landfill in an agricultural area.
Thank you
