Council's planning proposal seeks to rezone part (16ha) of Lot 42 DP846326 (now known as Lot 141 DP 1225076) Mount Vincent Road, East Maitland, from RU2 Rural Landscape to R1 General Residential, and amend the minimum lot zone applying to the land from 40ha to 450sqm.The Department has altered Council's proposal to rezone (8-10ha) the western portion of the site for residential purposes (land subject to Site Compatibility Certificate issued 25 November 2016), and apply associated development standards. The revised proposal is justified in the Gateway Determination Report.
