To convert the draft amendment to Port Stephens LEP 2000 from a pending LEP to a planning proposal under the current Part 3 of the EP&A Act 1979. The planning proposal seeks to rezone land from 1(c4) Small Holdings to 3(a) Business General zone and remove reference to the subject site under clause 62 - Particular Development Permitted with Consent. It should be noted that a hardware store already exists and operates from the subject site in accordance with the enabling clause, which permits "Timber yard and the fabrication, storage, sale, hire and exhibition of hardware and building materials and associated products".
