Correction of mapping error at Percy Street Reserve, Fairfield Heights

Council is seeking to amend the Fairfield LEP 1994 to rectify a mapping anomaly which affects land a Percy Street Reserve, Fairfield Heights. The Planning Proposal applies to Lots 43-47 Section 24 Deposited Plan 489 (known as Percy Street Reserve) and Lots 48 and 49 Section 24 Deposited Plan 489 (known as 37 Percy Street). Photos from the site taken on 5 May 2010 and aerial photos have been attached to this report. Council has identified that the position of the 6(a) Existing and Proposed Recreation zone has been unintentionally misaligned with the location of the Percy Street Park. In effect, the square shaped parcel of 6(a) zoning has been placed one lot further to the east than intended, and is out of alignment with the lot boundaries.In order to rectify the error, the following needs to occur:- rezone lot 43/24/489 from 2(a) to 6(a);- rezone lot 48 and part lot 49/24/489 from 6(a) to 2(a); and- align the square shaped parcel of 6(a) zoning with lots 43 - 47/24/489.
