The Hills LEP 2012 (Amendment No. 17) - residential care facility at 15 Old Glenhaven Road, Glenhaven

The proposal seeks to introduce a local clause to permit a reduced lot size for certain development at 15 Old Glenhaven Road, Glenhaven. A residential care facility is proposed as the final stage of the Glenhaven Retirement Village, and is permissible under the provisions of SEPP (Housing for Seniors or People with a Disability) 2004. The proponent's intent is to develop this as a separate entity to the existing retirement village (with which it currently shares a lot), including independent ownership and management. For this, it must be located on a separate lot, and this lot - at 8,449m2 - would be smaller than the existing minimum lot size for the site. The proponent is therefore seeking a reduced minimum lot size for this development.
