Rezoning and reclassification of land at Elanora Conference Centre and Warriewood Ingleside Escarpment Reserve

Council is seeking to acquire environmentally sensitive bushland for inclusion in the Warriewood Ingleside Escarpment Reserve. The planning proposal will rezone four sites. Three sites will be rezoned from 5(a) Special Uses to 7(a) Environmental Protection and one site will be rezoned from 7(a) Environmental Protection to 5(a) Special Uses. Two sites will be classified as "Community Land" and the other two sites will be classified as "Operational Land". The classification of area 3 as "Operational Land" will allow Council to lease the area back to the Uniting Church in Australia (UCA) for the purposes of low impact outdoor recreational uses associated with the existing conference centre. The rezoning and reclassification of the parcels of land will facilitate the transfer of land between Council and the Uniting Church in Australia (UCA). The proposal results in a transfer of about 0.54 ha of Council owned land to the Uniting Church and 2.92 ha of environmentally sensitive land from the Uniting Church to Council.
