Wyee rezoning, Lake Macquarie LEP 2004 (Amendment No. 61)

Rezone 160ha of land at Wyee from rural and conservation zones to permit residential development and conservation. The rezoning is expected to yield 1400 dwellings. The proposal includes the formalisation of a 200 lot paper subdivision currently zoned 1(1) Rural Production (approved 1914).The proposal also includes the removal of an acquisition layer of one lot, and the reclassification of one lot from community to operational land. These two lots are currently zoned 6(1) Open Space and are proposed to be zoned for residential development. The proposal is supported by an LES, the Lower Hunter Regional Strategy and the Wyee Structure Plan.
