I object to this application as it is doing a WRONG to this community now and if it goes ahead, to the generations to come.

For a start, to have an inland port so close to a residential neighbourhood is clearly WRONG. Our local leaders, Ned Mannoun from Liverpool Council, Melanie Gibbons our State MP and Craig Kelly our Federal MP ALL have stated that this project is ill conceived.

With this sneaky application by SIMTA, it is clear that they want to circumvent the conditional approval that was given by PAC. They want to go ahead with what they term as "early works" assuming that later applications will be approved.

This application needs to be refused, it is 3 times what was the previous scope for the standalone SIMTA site.

The proposed import of 1.6 million cu mts of dirt, the additional truck movements, the crushing plant, the vegetation removal and temporary road construction is not acceptable. The total proposal is WRONG. Our views are not being heard!

I object to Moorebank Intermodal Terminal Stage 1 Early Works (SSD 5066 MOD 1).

I object to the additional traffic that the early works will bring to the area during the extended construction hours. The local roads and the M5 is already congested, especially during peak times.

I object that the works will be carried out on Saturdays. This does not give the residents a recess from the conditions impacted on them, especially the residents that work shift work.

I object to the additional pollution this will cause such as noise, dust, dirt and truck and machinery fumes

I object to vegetation clearing and how this will negatively impact the flora and fauna habitats along the Georges River.

I object to any works that modify or demolish the military heritage of the area.

I absolutely object to this proposal, the impost on the people of Liverpool will be undeniably devastating and long term. The idea the land fill could be brought into the flood plain and along the Georges River is pathetic, dangerous and potentially disastrous. The arrogance of the combined governments who feel thrusting this mega-modal on a site that is recently flood-prone, where the detention basins are already in floodplain areas and the contaminant that can be brought in along the River is absurd.
The idea that a project as large as this on a site that is in the midst of a large community and a sensitive eco system is ludicrous.

There is no justification for this proposal nor the changes being proposed. Not Now not ever!

I totally disagree with this proposal. The area is not built for this purpose. It is a residential area with families. Traffic congestion is a problem now and no solution is available what solution is being offered with this project? Their solution is to use Moorebank Ave how is that a solution when the congestion is on this road already.

Creating more congestion to an already gridlocked area. It does not benefit Moorebank and surrounding areas, the benefits do not justifying the location.

This project will impact heavily on the traffic flow on Cambridge Avenue which needs a major upgrade. It should be made a double lane including upgrading the 'very narrow high risk, bridge over George River. Thus, this development must include a wholesale upgrade to Cambridge Avenue.

Further, the flow on effect of the traffic will be to Glenfeld Road which needs to be made a double lane through out.

The proposal to build an Intermodal terminal and warehousing on the site at Moorebank is wrong. The area is bound by housing estates and the Georges River. Standard of living for the residents and the water quality of the river will be severely compromised.
Traffic flows in the area are already at maximum capacity so new roads and bridges over the river will need to be constructed, causing the project to fail financially.
Filling a site with 1.6 million cubic metres of fill will create a huge and dangerous dust hazard during works, but worse, it will change the level of the 1/100 year floods making the surrounding suburbs a disaster zone.
If Sydney needs a Container Terminal in the South West, there are other and better sites than Moorebank.

The President and Committee of the Liverpool Action Group inc. object strongly to this Container depot proposal.
It is a development which is wrong for a site that is close to housing estates and the Georges River.
The value of homes will be eroded.
Dust, fumes. noise and traffic jams will affect all residents.
The building of infrastructure including a vast area of fill as proposed first will ensure that the proposed project will be and will remain, a white elephant.

The Moorebank Precinct West (MPW) Project includes the development of intermodal freight terminal facilities, linked to Port Botany, the interstate and intrastate freight rail network. The MPW Project includes associated warehouse and logistics facilities, a rail link connecting the MPW site to the Southern Sydney Freight Line, and a road entry and exit point from Moorebank Avenue.

Council understands that recent civil and earthworks design development has re-evaluated the cut and fill volumes on the MPW site and as a result identified a deficit of available fill on the site.

As a result, additional site preparatory works are proposed that include the import, placement and stockpiling of clean fill. A modification to the approved Early Works (referred to as the Modification Proposal) is required, and has been supported by detailed environmental assessments including traffic and transport which is of particular interest to Fairfield City Council.

As per the information provided, the traffic impact associated with the proposed earth works within Fairfield Local Government Area is considered not substantial, as majority of vehicles would travel to and from the site via the M5 Motorway. A small number of trucks would head south to Glenfield Waste Facility to dispose unsuitable materials.

Due to the Modification Proposal resulting in substantially the same project as described within the MPW Concept Plan Approval, and that the changes would not alter the final development of the MPW Project with associated traffic impacts upon commencement of operations, Fairfield City Council has no additional comments to make.

I object to this early works and all the dust, noise and traffic that will start.the end result a complete health hazard right next to prime riverfront acreage which can be utilised for better residential use for future generations.this terminal would-be better suited at Badgerys creek.

I object to the modifcaiton proposed for the SIMTA/MICL project. The proponent wants to start consutrction without waiting for proper approvals. Demolishing everything there is to see and flattening the land is not remediation. There's no sense in which that is making good the previous defects of the land. Building a concrete crushing crushing plant and importing industrial quantities of fill to build a project with nothing but concept approval is extremely premature.

Further the significant impact on our local roads needs to be properly understoof. Where is this huge quantity of fill coming from? Where is it going? Which roads are going to be even more congested than they are now? How will it impact local residents as they try to get to work in the morning?

A great deal of the sound deadening promised by the proponent is the warehouses that are supposed to block all of the noise. How will the noise of all of these trucks tipping fill and the concrete crusher crushing concrete be blocked when the warehouses aren't even built? And they want to start so early and keep going so late. My family won't be able to sleep. How will my daughter do in her exams if she's kept up by concrete crushing at all hours?

The proponent is showing contempt for local residents. Concrete crushing is not compatible with a residential suburb. They should do their crushing in an industrial area at an existing crushing plant. THey should keep to business hours and think just for a minute about the thousands of residents.
