it makes no sense to have a hub away from the current plan to have an airport in badgery creek, while it would be logistically smart and cost effective to have them beside each other. Currently as it stands the M5 can't cope with the current traffic and to add to it will make the congestion even worse. Not to mention the environmental impact on residents.

This site is simply NOT the proper location for this type of development. Broadly, the reasons are:

* proximity to residential areas
* traffic congestion
* noise and air pollution
* Georges River pollution

This is ridiculous, the government doesn't care about the health of our children and the pollution this project will bring to our community. I will not be voting for liberal next time I vote because you don't listen to the community and it's objections to this project.

I HAVE WORKED IN THIS INDUSTRY FOR OVER 20 YEARS AND LIVED IN MY HOME WHICH I PURHCASED 15 YEARS AGO. I PURCHASED A HOME IN THE SOUTH WEST SYDNEY TO GET AWAY FROM THE TRAFFIC AND CONGESTION THAT I HAVE TO DEAL WITH IN ON A DAY TO DAY BASIS AS I CURRENTLY WORK IN ALEXANDRIA AND I AM SICK OF TRAVELLING FOR 3-4 HOURS DAILY BECAUSE OF THE CURRENT CONGESTION WITHOUT ADDING MORE HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS OF TRUCKS WITH CONTAINERS ON THEM. THE HEALTH AND WELLBEING OF MYSELF AND MY FAMILY FAR OUTWAY THE EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES THAT YOU ARE CLAIMING WILL BE AVAILBLE ON THIS PREMISE. AS THIS INDUSTRY IS GETTING MORE COMPETITIVE THERE ARE LESS AND LESS PEOPLE BEING EMPLOYED AS THE WORK IS BEING DONE BY THE EXISTING EMPLOYEES. KEEP OUR SOUTH WEST SYDNEY CLEAN AND AWAY FROM THE POLLUTANTS I SEE ON A DAY TO DAY BASIS WHERE THE TERMINALS ALREADY ARE IN BOTANY AND THE CONGESTION THAT IS OCCURING THERE WITH ALL PEOPLE HAVING TO PUT UP WITH THIS IN OUR SUPPOSED TO BE COUNTRY LIVING ENVIRONMENT FULL OF CLEAN AIR AND CONGESTION FREE. SICK OF THE GOVERMENT AND BIG INDUSTRY NOT LISTENING TO THE PEOPLE THAT PAY TAXES AND HAVE TO PUT UP WITH THIS NONSENSE.

Dear Sir/Madam

As a resident of the Liverpool area I am writing to you to voice, in the strongest possible terms, my and my Family's opposition to the Intermodal being built at Moorebank.

The negative impact to my Family of this development is larger than any other development in the vicinity by orders of magnitude.

I therefore strongly support Liverpool Council's position and recommendation for the terminal to be built at Badgery's Creek.

Should you have any questions or queries about my position please do not hesitate to contact me.

Regards

I strongly oppose the building / opening of an Intermodol
in my area .
As live on the edge of the M5 I can contest to the pollution we already have in suburbs.
The pollution which will occur if this project is pushed through will be divistating, creating more dust, diesel pollution and unnecessary noise from semi trailers.
Noise pollution from the M5 is bad enough.

I wish to formally object to the develpment of Intermodal project in Moorebank.
Local roads are already very heavy congested, and local residents already suffer from nose polution (heavy trucks, Bankstown Airport).

It will make perfect sense to develop the project in Badgerys Creek, as the necessary infrastructure wil be built with the new airport.

Please consider well being of the local residents.

I am opposed to the proposal for a Moorebank Intermodal. My family resides in this area, has done so for 27 years, and uses the M5 / M7 / Heathcote roads to travel to / from work, visit friends and relatives and generally get around. These roads are already congested and there is an accident on Moorebank Avenue entrance to the M5 every day, not once a week, EVERY single day due to "weaving" required to exit onto Hume Highway, or move across for M5 / M7 exits. Introducing thousands of trucks into this mix EVERY day is an invitation to a catastrophy. The parties involved in this proposal, both the ones making it and the ones evaluating it, need to move into the area for a couple of weeks and take a long hard look at what they are proposing. There are far better options available, many of which have been put on the table. It is almost as if the government and SIMTA representatives have made a decision and will not be swayed, no matter what is put before them, just because, not because it is the best place for it, not because it will improve the area, not for any other reason, but because they made this investment years ago and will see it through no matter what. Please wake up people, this is a residential area, hugely populated, not an industrial area any longer, it is on the fringe of the city where there are already 2 intermodals operating, and where more housing is needed. Sell the land for housing, move the intermodal to Badgery's Creek, where it makes sense to have it. Airport, Rail, Intermodal. Not at Moorebank, please think again!!

The site for this development is completely inappropriate for the following reasons:

- Too close to residential dwellings
- Additional traffic congestion on local roads
- Air and noise pollution created over a wide radius
- Environmental damage to the Georges River

I strongly object to the intermodal being considered at Moorebank. I am totally opposed to breathing in more fumes and pollutants this ludicrous act will impose on me and all the residents in the vicinity.

I am also appalled at the thought of more congestion in the area.

Please take the intermodal elsewhere - Badgerys Creek perhaps.

I'm apposite to the intermedial transport in Moorebank for following reasons
1- it's bad impact on traffics in this area
2- it's bad poulution impact on residents on this area
3- the high coast will implement on the government due to compensation claims against as a result to the health affect in people
4- the affect on the real state prices due to this project

I object to the development on the grounds of its location. I fail to understand how the federal government refuses to take on the recommendation and veiws of the local community and thier representatives who will be most effected, the suggestion of Bagderys Creek as a better site.

Liverpool council have grand plans to make Western Sydney a fantastic and beautiful place to live and work. They realise this intermodal is needed and are not saying "Not In My Backyard" but it could be better positioned in that part of OUR yard.

In most statements from SIMTA and Moorebank Intermodal there is reference to a reduction of traffic congestion being achieved which I find insulting, the truth is that it will be reduced at one end of Sydney and moved to another. The idea of moving it to an area that is currently as well being transformed into highly populated residential area is absurd. Liverpool council along with everyone who has an interest in this part of Sydney would like to be able to position the intermodal in a greenfield site and then development around that with proper zoning and approvals.

I also read that the Moorebank site is preferred as the rail infrastructure is already available but then in the same article quoting someone senior at Moorebank Intermodal that the government will fund the connection to the Southern Sydney Frieght Line. Well this could also be done from Badgerys Creek. If the benifit is really $9 billion to the economy to have this development it would negligent by the government not to invest in infrastructure to get this moved to Badgerys.

In comes Intermodal @ Moorebank and Out goes the health and well being of 100's of Children/Men/Women.
Its a chain reaction, putting more pressure on hospitals,traffic and environment.
Please re-consider and re-locate while there is still some time.

I object to the placement of the Intermodal at Moorebank. The intermodal should not be placed near the Schools nor housing estates at Moorebank.
The increased traffic movements, noise pollution and air pollution plus 24/7 train movements will be detrimental to the health and well being of Moorebank residents.
The Intermodal should be placed in a commercial area such as Badgery's creek or Eastern Creek.

Why would any Government Federal or State, permit a project of this size to be built on land adjacent to homes and schools and roads that are not able to cope with the current traffic, let alone the traffic that will eventuate once the project is operational. What about the noise resulting of 24 hours of railway shunting, 24 hours of fork lift beeping and associated noise. The health hazards of impure air and the emission of diesel fumes from container trucks. There are homes and families only 500 mts. from the project. We would suggest that there are other locations to place this transport hub. Why is it that the Liverpool area on the banks of the beautiful Georges River is not given the opportunity and respect deserved.
