Penalty Notice issued to Cadia Holdings Pty Ltd (MP06_0295) Cabonne Shire LGA 

On 6 December 2022, NSW Planning issued a $6,000 Penalty Notice to Cadia Holdings Pty Ltd (Cadia) for failing to obtain a Construction Certificate for parts of the Molybdenum Recovery Plant at the Cadia East Project. Cadia have subsequently obtained a Building Information Certificate (BIC) from Blayney Shire Council.

Official Caution issued to Cadia Holdings Pty Ltd (MP06_0295) Cabonne Shire LGA

On 17 October 2024 NSW Planning issued an Official Caution to Cadia Holdings Pty Ltd (Cadia) for failing to submit the required Noise Impact Validation and Air Quality Impact Validation reports for the Cadia East Project Mine. NSW Planning is working with Cadia to develop a time frame for submission of the final reports.

Penalty Notice issued to Cadia Holdings Pty Ltd (MP06_0295) Cabonne Shire LGA

On 28 November 2024, NSW Planning issued a $15,000 Penalty Notice to Cadia Holdings Pty Ltd (CHPL) for failing to implement the Water Management Plan (WMP) for Cadia East Project.  Cadia self-reported the non-compliance following an internal review and an independent report identified that various dams on site were not to the capacity identified in the WMP. NSW Planning will continue to monitor compliance with conditions of consent.
