Demonstrate some real leadership and abandon this unconscionable renewable energy scam and make the decision to go nuclear NOW.
Nuclear is safe when managed competently and we have demonstrated experience doing so, we have been safely running a nuclear plant at Lucas Heights on the fringes of Sydney for over 60 years even third world countries are doing it!
Nuclear power is (I believe) cheaper overall, it is sustainable, it will provide reliable peak and base-load power and we have an abundant supply of all materials required to produce it and we have many ideal sites upon which to build them without further destroying our environment.

- Destruction of habitats for wedge-tailed eagles.
- Destruction of habitats for koalas.
- Destruction of much-needed trees for livestock’s shade purposes.
- Destruction of trees such as Kurrajongs. These trees play an important role in livestock sustainability during droughts.
- Destruction of our beautiful rural landscapes. These will be littered with industrial renewable infrastructure, and something we can never recover from.
- Too much land will be needed to be cleared for construction and easements. This will impact local livestock and wildlife.
- The workforce camps will cause considerable damage to local environments and landscapes.
- There are not enough fire-fighting facilities available to assist should fires break out at worksites or in workcamps. We do not have enough local water to supply for firefighting purposes.

I don't want to see the Dunedoo area covered in high voltage transmission lines, they are unsightly and unhealthy for human and animals. I've seen what wind turbines and solar farms look like and it is not a pretty sight. We are going to lose so much beautiful arable farming land to these projects. There will be so much disruption to roads, doctors, hospitals once these projects get started with an influx of workers. The local doctors can't cope as it is without adding hundreds more to the town. We are already in a dry spell, where is the water going to come from to service these camps and where is the waste product going to go? Our roads are already in disrepair from the wet weather over the last few years that needs fixing, what is heavy trucks going to do to these roads? The Merotherie Rd is a flood plain. How will EnergyCo's proposed upgrading of Merotherie Rd impact the Talbragar River that floods quite often. I don't like the bullying tactics that are being used across a lot of these projects and I've seen it first hand. As I have seen previously with the Cobbora Mine that didn't go ahead, the Government bought up a heap of farms and displaced a lot of families that then effected the local preschool and school and businesses in town. I don't want to see families have to sell up and move when they don't want to. Why are we the guinea pigs for this project? Why can't homes in Sydney put solar panels on their rooves? Oh that's right it might devalue their property. Well what about devaluing our beautiful farm land? Take a walk in our shoes and see how you would feel if this was being imposed upon you without any say in the matter!!!

I have fears over: fire safety issues; increased traffic on local roads; magnetic fields and EMF issues on both livestock and communities; ripple effects renewable energy factories in rural areas will ultimately have on rural economies; the mental health implications these projects will have on generational farmers, as well as people in the communities who simply love their land and witness it being destroyed. Rural Australia does not have enough medical facilities to manage these issues.
It is for my above concerns, I submit my OBJECION to EnergyCo’s project.

There is no indication of specific plans for off-sets which will make up for any loss of habitat or bio-diversity due to construction of infrastructure.
There is no impact assessment for the Regent Honey Eater, which is protected under Commonwealth legislation.
There is no attempt to avoid national park reserve eg Durridgere State Conservation Area.
There is no attempt to avoid areas already set aside for offsets at existing coal mine sites eg. Wilpinjong Coal Mine. These are designed to off-set impacts on the Regent Honey Eater.
There is no attempt to consider underground infrastructure.

- I do not believe there was ample community consultation. 44 people out of a regional population of over 154,000 (0.03%) is not a true representation. This minimal figure was to obtain benefit by deception on behalf of EnergyCo.
- The roads within the CWO are not in any way capable of the additional traffic and heavy loads. This will be disastrous for local residents.
- There are no long-term plans to increase capacity to deal with firefighting and increased fire risks associated with the projects infrastructure.
- The high-voltage transmission towers and powerlines are simply ugly to look at. They have no place in rural Australia.
- Industrial wind turbine factories have no place in rural Australia.
- Industrial solar factories have no place in rural Australia
- We risk losing our livestock and wildlife due to both construction and operations of this infrastructure. This in my eyes is not acceptable.

Of greatest concern is
1. The environment impacts to wildlife.
2. The water use that will be used
3. The visual impacts to residents
4. Infrastructure required to get such a project up and going and the effects it will have.
5. The mental health and well being of landholders and residents.
