Mallee Wind Farm

Large amounts of water will be needed for construction, potentially straining local water resources

Dust from construction could affect air quality and crop health.

Residents fear the project will lead to a reliance on external workers rather than creating sustainable jobs locally. The local community will have no befit from this project

Turbine installations have been known to cause fatalities in birds by killing them with the blades, impacting both local and migratory species.

Given the area’s flat terrain, the project could alter natural water drainage, increasing flood risk for nearby properties.

Turbine blades contain Bispoinal A (BPA) that can drop onto soil and water, potentially contaminating farmland. how will this be dealt with?

There’s a concern about waste management and clean-up when the turbine and blades reach end-of-life. how will this be addressed?

The installation process could compact soil, reduce fertility, and impact local cropping fields. How we you negate this compaction?

The installation will alter the scenic views, impacting the region’s natural landscape, which is valued by residents. Our backyard maybe a little bigger than your but it is just as important to us as yours is to you

I object to the erection of the Mallee Wind Farm because of the uncertainty that, at the end of the towers serviceable life, the tower blades and concrete bases will be totally removed.
I also object to the clearing of land, normally housing many many native birds and animals which would make them misplaced.

My previous submission to Mallee wind was wrongly put as a support. Please delete the first submission

This wind installation in a rural Mallee area is a travesty.

REASONS FOR MY OBJECTION

I believe this is Environmental vandalism and yet we do not hear a word from the so environmentalists.
Political ideology that filled with misinformation no real scientific merit in the long term benefit to rate payers it is fundamentally flawed .
These horrid wind farms that disfigures and impacts the visual landscape forever , also a very real potential fire risk. Regional area's are taking the full brunt of these wind and Sola farms that are scaring our environment also the impact on forests throughout the land.
Nature, environment, biodiversity birds animals will also be effected
No sustainable, long-term economic benefit locally
Construction disruption to the building of roads ,demolition of fauna that will damage landscape
These monstrosities will litter our environment for ever,
One wonders why they would be built in low wind area.
The only people that makes money out of this project , Chinese government who supplies all the infrastructure, we shouldn't be dealing with a country that has no human rights , Australia is contributing to their military goal,
The only people making money out of this is Investors , contractors while tax payers will have increased power bills and will be paying off this debt generations to come

This will never work. The people running Australia are stupid our country deserve better.

We are a very close neighbour and are concerned about the closeness to our home, our community and the environmental impact to our regiion
The small community roads we travel on will see an increase of traffic to the roads we use that are already in poor condition.
The trucks using the road for movement are already impacting the wildlife living near to the roads.

The wind farm should be relocated further away from the Buronga Gol Gol area

As a young person this junk will be left for my generation to clean up, if it doesn't wreak the environment

This is crazy and will never provide cheap energy generation for Australian. This junk will be left for the next generation to clean up.

As a parent, I worry about the long-term health implications for my children. The constant exposure to noise and potential pollutants , BPA & PFAS from the turbines could have lasting effects on their development and well-being

The transmission lines that these installations will bring will cut through pristine areas, destroying habitats and leading to soil erosion and other environmental issues. We must protect our natural landscapes

I am particularly concerned about the impact on the critically endangered birds. The disruption of their habitat could have severe consequences for their already declining populations.
