I do not require any documents I require direction of were I should seek further support as we are not in agreeance with the new proposed alterations to the new highway at Glenugie at Eight mile lane.(Grafton NSW ‐ Woolgoolga ‐ Ballina Highway upgrade)

We are very concerned of the off ramp that is proposed at this site as it is too close to our home were there is further land towards the east that is able to be utilised which was originally planned.

At this time we have been very supportive and agreed with all the upgrades despite increased traffic and excess noise to our once quiet little area in the bush were we have experienced increased dust in our home and our foundations have moved somewhat since the commencement of these works. Also increased electricity due to having to close our windows to reduce noise and dust.

We have grave concerns of the increased noise and traffic up eight mile lane if the off ramp is built there. A simple solution is just to move outwards and away from our homes, of which will inevitably decrease in value and I would not imagine we will be reimbursed for this.
PLEASE HELP
Many Thanks Nerelle

NSW DPI has no objection to the proposed modification. NSW DPI notes the commitment to consultation with NSW DPI regarding the realignment and structures for connectivity of both Nine Mile creek and Picanniny creek.

The EPA has reviewed SSI 4986 Mod 6 and provides the following comments:

* The attached EPA comments which were made on 24 November 2016 in relation to SSI 4963 Mod 3 are applicable to SSI 4986 Mod 6;
* In relation to 5.2.2 Existing environment; EPA notes a surface water monitoring point is located 100 metres east of the proposed modification area which monitors the surface water quality within the catchments of Picanniny Creek and Pheasant Creek. The EPA highlights typically monitoring points are located both upstream and downstream of project works to monitoring water quality and identify any potential impacts from construction activities. The EPA seeks confirmation if an upstream monitoring point will also be identified and utilised in this area?
* In relation to 5.2.3 Impact assessment; the EPA notes the statement relating to sediment basins now states: The construction methodology used for the proposed modification will minimise the need for sediment basins where practicable. The EPA reiterates a previous comment; if temporary basins are not constructed to manage sediment and dirty water generated during construction enhanced erosion and sediment controls are to be established to managed dirty water in accordance with Blue Book requirements.
