as well as Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives. They act in a
transparent way and with integrity. I feel the Vickery project will

I believe Whitehaven's Vickery Project will bring a boost to
population and employment within the region to further strengthening
the local economy.
I believe this will increase the need for local service providers and
bring new levels of available suppliers of service, hardware and
technology to the region.

opportunities to the Narrabri and Gunnedah regions. Locals no longer
need to move town in search of employment opportunities.
Whitehaven Coal are a proven supporter of local companies, small
business and charities in the Narrabri and Gunnedah regions.
I wont comment on the renewable energy debate.
Whitehaven actively promote environmental protection and demonstrate
their position by producing a clean high quality thermal product
within the EPA guidelines and regulations.

family's around the Vickery Project. The number of jobs it will create
and the family's it will feed will assist with growth of the greater
Gunnedah economy, allowing people to have a greater standard of living
in the area. Mining Coal in the area has proven to be sustainable on
the local ecosystem and waterways and Vickery has gone through the
utmost care with assessing social and environmental impacts and I'm
highly certain it will be a successful and sustainable operation. I
100% support the approval of the Vickery project moving ahead.

The employment prospects during and after construction will be an
enormous boost to our community.
It will also provide an opportunity to nurture our young people by
affording them job options so they may remain in the country.

fully supportive of the Vickery Coal Mine Extension Project. Our
business is a mining and industrial consumable manufacturer based in
the Hunter Region of NSW. We have operated within the mining and power
generation industries of Australia for over 30 years and employ local
people primarily on a full time permanent basis. Our subcontractors
are also local businesses with whom we rely heavily to deliver product
which is fit for purpose for the demanding applications of the
industries we support. Our mining specific product development has led
to substantial ongoing export business. We have also invested heavily
in research and development as well as the infrastructure necessary to
manufacture efficiently. The viability of our business, along with
many like businesses who provide unique services to mining in NSW rely
on new developments for growth. The flow on is greater employment
opportunities for Australians.

town in rural NSW. We pride ourselves on the effort we take to grow
locally sourced trees and understory plants.
For around 10 years, Bilby Blooms was a supplier of revegetation
plants to Whitehaven Coal. This allowed us to employ a local to help
grow plants for them.
After June 2015, Whitehaven Coal decided that revegetation was not
needed, so we had to loose a good worker, and steady income in time of
drought. Binnaway ended up losing another family to a bigger regional
centre.
If this is how Whitehaven Coal looks after small local businesses,
small regional communities and the environment, Bilby Blooms is
against any future expansion granted to this company.
