Wattle Creek Solar Farm

The proposed Wattle Creek Solar Farm is a major contribution toward New South Wales’ target of at least 12 GW of new renewable generation by 2030. Harnessing the state’s abundant solar resource, the project will supply over 600 GWh of zero-emission electricity each year - enough to meet the annual needs of well over 100.000 homes - while diversifying a grid that already sources more than half of its capacity from renewables. Construction and operation will drive significant regional investment and create skilled local jobs, while the plant’s fast, controllable output will enhance voltage support and system reliability as legacy coal units retire, delivering lasting environmental, social and economic benefits for New South Wales.

This is a fantastic proposal that complements Australia's leading university's contribution to renewable energy development. Studies have carried out in depth and thorough consultation, without overly fatiguing the community.
