December 2023 Release summary: Major Projects and Infrastructure Contributions Estimator

Major Projects 

The main features of this release include:

• New development type on the Project details screen: Infill-affordable housing now included.
• Infill-affordable housing applications will be automatically redirected to the Acceleration Assessment team.
• Pop-up message to advise the applicant to book a scoping meeting if the development type is “Infill-affordable housing“.
• When “Schedule 1:SSD - general” is selected as the State Environmental Planning Policy that the application relates to, the label for Section 26 has been renamed to “Residential development by or on behalf of the Land and Housing Corporation for purposes of Housing Act 2001”.
• “Section 26A – In-fill Affordable Housing” has been added as an option to the drop-down list when “Schedule 1:SSD - General” is selected as the State Environmental Planning Policy that the application relates to. 

Infrastructure Contributions Estimator

The Infrastructure Contributions Estimator has been developed to assist applicants with identifying an estimation of the Housing and Productivity Contribution that may be levied for their development prior to submitting an application.

This functionality can be accessed via the menu icon within the NSW Planning Portal Spatial Viewer or via the Housing and Productivity Contribution page on the NSW Planning Portal.
