The ePlanning Program regularly deploys system updates and enhancements to our services on the NSW Planning Portal.

The following is an overview of the enhancements and technical releases for the ePlanning Digital Services for the February 2022.

eConstruction:

Design and Building Practitioners Act 2020 allows for a Building Practitioner to validate and lodge any variation/s to previously lodged “Construction Issued Regulatory Designs” within a 90-day period upon a successful determination of an Occupation Certificate application. ePlanning system will prompt the Building Practitioner to complete this action on the 30th and 80th day.

Roads Act:

Digital services to enable submission of applications for Section 122 (Temporary regulation of traffic) and Section 144 (Permits for road events) of Roads Act 1993 and routing these applications to respective Councils and Agencies. Councils and State Agencies will have the ability to process and determine these applications using the NSW Planning Portal.

This release also provides the ability to decouple Roads Act services (sections 125, 138, 144 and 122), ability to apply to multiple Roads Act sections in the same submission and enablement of City of Sydney spatial layers where Place Management NSW and Infrastructure NSW agencies are the road authority.

Conditions of Consent:

Release of additional functionality in preparation for the regulations mandate, due to commence 1 August 2022, for all Councils in NSW to use a set of standard list prescribed conditions during the DA assessment. The current release enhances the functionality available in the sandbox environment to enhance and standardise letters for Approval, Concept Approval, Deferred Approval, Modification, Refusal and Review Letter stages

This release also includes a number of refinements such as  providing links to Advisory Notes for consent authority, refinement and reorganisation of menu options,  support use of standard conditions during modification of DA applications and allows Councils to incorporate their own logo in Notice of Determination correspondence.
