Mod 1 – Concept Proposal Changes

The plan and the supporting documents does not consider the impact on the Cambridge Avenue and as such it does not consider any redevelopment of the same.

Cambridge Avenue is one of the key arterial roads that connects greater Liverpool and Campbelltown suburbs (& just not Glenfield and Macquarie Fields as suggested in the submissions).

Hence, the proposed pan is flawed unless Cambridge Avenue upgrade is not part of the project.

I believe the containment of sediment and emitted dusts from the proposal will not be adequate to protect the ecology and viability of the Georges River. Previous development of commonwealth land at Wattle Grove caused gross pollution and sediment and dust release when the measures of containment were overwhelmed by weather incidents frequently the NSW EPA attended a number of such incidents during the development stage of Wattle Grove 2173. please refer to NSW EPA Records.
In addition:
The unfortunate location of the proposed project endangers not only the delicate and important river environment with local populations also in too close proximity to the proposed works.
Potential Release of contained fire fighting foam products and other currently unmarked military pollution caches produce an unacceptable risk to workers and surrounding residents. Extreme noise factors affecting the area would be uncontrollable and the development may affect detrimentally for a prolonged period the viability of M5 due to the high number of potential incidents involving Truck and Dog transport of spoil. Many incidents have happened on the Motorway System affecting detrimentally the economy of greater Sydney. The proposal is contrary to information shared with the community at consultation stage making all consultation value null and void therefore NSW Planning should not allow this early works plan otherwise NSW Planning would be acting against policy intent of the NSW Planning Act. ( Fair and Proper Community Consultation Required with a genuine description of intent).
Which has not happened.

As a ratepayer and resident of Liverpool, I strongly object to a container depot (intermodal) of any kind or size being situated in Moorebank. Located between high-value suburbs it would cause distress to 1000s of citizens who have invested $billions in the area with no knowledge of the disaster about to fall upon them.

I disagree with all aspects and applications for this site. It must be returned to natural bush or passive recreation land. All flora and fauna, especially endangered species must be protected.

The Executive Committee of Liverpool Action Group have always objected to a Container Terminal (Intermodal) being constructed in the middle of high-quality residential.
No application or modification to an application should be considered. It is the wrong location for a container terminal which would provide serious disruption to 1000s of Liverpool Residents and ratepayers.

To place this type of infrastructure within the dormitory suburbs of Liverpool shows a total disregard for the well being of the residents of the area. We and our children are NOT expendable!

It this project start here there will be big impact on the near by residences. It will impact the local community air pollution, noise pollution and road traffic.

We have lived here over 25 years and our family lives here, including seven grandchildren, I have noticed during this time the increase in the number of people as well as the congestion on our roads, to build this monstrous intermodal, will cause a disaster to our lives. There will be a huge Environmental disaster, we have much wildlife here, especially birds, cockatoos, kookaburras, parrots. All To be wiped out by this monstrosity. The noise will irritate this peaceful community, as will the pollution emitted from the trucks. Finally our homes will devalue, homes we have worked hard for, nearly died for when the interest rates were close to 20%! This is a vibrant community with numerous schools, aged care and working parents, this is not the place for it.

I am not happy with the Moorebank intermodal being built at this site. Move it somewhere else closer to eastern creek, or baddgeries creek where there is much more land and closer to industry hubs.

The intermodal should not go ahead because of the devastating impact it will have on health, traffic and environment . The noise and pollution are other serious ramifications of a project such as this. The impact on a peaceful and village like community cannot be understated. It simply does not belong here.
