Hvo is very important to the Hunter Valley and even NSW. The flow on effect of wages is critical.

I have worked at HVO as a permanent employee since 2004 and have seen many changes in the business but one thing that has not changed is how supportive HVO is to the local community. HVO supports the local community by employing hundreds of local people and also by utilising local businesses for additional labour and/or parts supply. HVO are always looking at ways to minimise disruption to the local community and environment. If HVO was to close this would have a devasting affect on local people and businesses. HVO continuation project should be approved for the people.

I am employed at HVO mine and support the project for continuation as it is the life of the Hunter Valley providing support to the outer community. Being employed at HVO mine with the continuation ongoing will I will be able to continue support my family by providing a financially stable life for my children and family
