Cherrybrook Station State Significant Precinct rezoning proposal

Landcom prepared a rezoning proposal on behalf of the landowner Sydney Metro through the State Significant Precinct (SSP) process.

This rezoning is now approved and affects government-owned land next to the Cherrybrook metro station.

The rezoning will enable a new mixed-use town centre with retail, community and library facilities, new open space and approximately 410 new homes based on the provision of 10 per cent affordable housing.

The Department of Planning and Environment was responsible for receiving submissions and evaluating the rezoning proposal.

In addition to the documents below, the rezoning proposal is also discussed in the Explanation of Intended Effect on the department’s planning portal page for the Cherrybrook Precinct Place Strategy.
